His ego killed the GF. For the crows at least.

Eddie Betts has done a hammy.

We don't play them till round 10 :(

He's struggling anyway. I'll back us in to beat them no matter what side they put on the park.

Let’s revisit the ladder after Hawthorn, Richmond and Essendon. Sitting 3rd after wins against Brisbane and North doesn’t count for a lot.

Brisbane should have beaten Port last week and North smashed the Saints (who were tipped to be there or thereabouts for finals preseason.) There’ll be no easy games this year for any team.

I don’t think I’ve been interested in any games I’ve watch this year except for our own.

It’s been a very average season so far. Poor quality matches by the bucketloads each week.

Stuck in the airport with a flight delay so I watched it, because what else do I have to do, and it was putrid. I actually fell asleep momentarily.

That was a terrible game.  Adelaide's inability to defend Collingwood when they brought the ball inside with quick hands was appalling.

Still don't rate Collingwood based on that, Adelaide were simply horrible.

Very average. I’m struggling to get into games so far this season.

It depends what airport, I’ve been delayed in Dubai a few times and I normally eat about a dozen shake shack burgers

Adelaide were terrible. Weren’t willing to tackle all night and as many commentators suggested pre-match they went in too tall with their forward line. I watched a fair bit of the game and the ball hardly ever got past Adelaide’s half forward line.

Good on Collingwood for taking the win. Will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks how they go and how we both measure up by the time we meet on Queens Birthday Monday.

Only watched the first half then switched over...

Jane Jenkins was embarrassing, but so to were most of the Crows team.

The game looked over in the first 10 mins.

A question...is Eddie quickly coming to the end? he's really struggled so far this season & appears to be off the pace, the magic has gone missing.

I’m in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve had enough champagne to make me forget that I still have another 13 hours before I’m home, but not enough to make me appreciate that game of footy.

At least I’ll be home with plenty of time to watch our game on Sunday. Can’t wait!

Josh Jenkins is worse.  The biggest front running forward in footy.  The moment the game is on the line he goes to water.

800k a year massive spud, gonna struggle big style to keep Lynch in their pay structure.

Richmond and the Bulldogs have both proven that small and contested footy holds up in high pressure matches. Adelaide was a high contested ball winning side last year but once a team exploited their top heaviness, they struggled to adapt.

I hope we smash them and Sydney this year.

Adelaide were useless, but regardless of the opposition, the Pies ball movement was stunning. Hard fast low kicks with pinpoint accuracy, good fast hands and excellent rucking from Grundy who ended up with over 30 possessions.

No wonder they had no money in the kitty to pay Lever when they are paying donkeys like Jenkins 800k.

Collingwood thoroughly deserved that win.  Dominated from the first second and played the conditions perfectly.

Everyone had Adelaide pencilled into the top 4.  Would love to see them fall down the ladder, preferably missing the 8.

Sloane is not a superstar. Not even close.  Gets tagged out of games way too often.

Betts is finished.

I didn’t even think to check the weather if I thought it would be wet I would have changed my tip to Collingwood, Adelaide were way too tall and missing the crouch brothers who would thrive in wet weather

To allow a 4th gamer to kick 5 on you at home, goodness me.

I’ve seen Chupa Chups that refuse to be unwrapped put up a bigger fight than the Crows last night.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
