Moonshadow 17,678 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Poor bastard. That's got to be an inconvenience to his round 1 preparation. Especially with a jaw as big as his 4 1 Quote
DV8 2,271 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Lets hope he'll be right for Sunday. I'd like to have him in as backup for the backline. I see him as a future Qtr-back type. vision to spot targets. I don't have faith in him in-under anymore. But I'd like to utilise his vision and ability to deliver. 1 Quote
DV8 2,271 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 lets hope this makes his knock-ability better. Quote
praha 11,267 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Will be fine. That he had them out in the chair suggests it wasn't a big op and maybe only had 1 or 2 out. 3-4 day recovery. Maximum. Quote
chook fowler 19,774 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Seems odd that it has been done now and not earlier - it usually isn’t an emergency procedure. It can really knock you around. Wouldn’t be surprised if he misses this week. 1 Quote
bjDee 1,249 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Thought this might have been an auction thread. Or is that too close to the bone? 1 Quote
MurDoc516 1,529 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 When do we play Freo? I hope Gus schools his brother, WA media hyping up his brother and the dockers too much. Quote
Ethan Tremblay 31,388 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Back in my day I had my wisdom teeth removed in the morning and was back at work by lunch time. And I ate well-done steak for lunch. 3 2 Quote

The fecker gave me ribs and corn on the cob for tea that night 1 1 Quote
Guest Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 (edited) Never much fun having them out. In my case, the anesthetic didn't work the first time and I woke up. Thankfully, the cutting hadn't started. Ironically my surgeon also had qualified as a lawyer too. Judging by that, maybe he needed a thorough knowledge of the law. Edited March 20, 2018 by Colin B. Flaubert Quote

TeamPlayedFine39 8,525 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 If theyd already grown through and it was done in the chair, he got of lightly. It’s when they have to dig them out then yank them, with their boot on your throat for leverage, that you’re in for a tough recovery. Quote

I was sore and numb for months No anesthetic for me Still give me nightmares remembering the surgeon using his whole body and the chair for leverage and the noise of the bone saw like a Stihl on steroids 1 Quote

I'm not convinced Brayshaw will play this week as a result of this. I'm certainly not as manly or as tough as Brayshaw but I wouldn't have been fit to play a few days out from having my wisdoms out. Nor would you have wanted me to play even if not eating through a straw. Quote

Dees_In_October 3,515 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I don't quite get his thinking, putting it off to attend training. Why not get it done and dusted ASAP to recover better for round 1? Hope his recovery is as speedy as he thought it would be! Quote
H_T 3,049 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Looking forward to read the next thread - what Brayshaw got from the tooth fairy. Enthralled. 1 Quote
DemonOX 8,857 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I’m lucky I have a big enough set of chops to accommodate all 4 wisdom teeth so no need to take them out thank god. Good luck Gus in ur recovery. Quote
pewpewpew 742 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I'm not surprised Gus had them out in the chair. [censored] tough bastard. Quote
