Melbourne last night. It's better than anything that can be Photoshopped. I'd like to see us use it in our marketing.

One of these hit the mast of Wild Oats XI while it was out of the water the other day and fried all the computers on board. They are furiously rounding up new equipment around the country to try to be ready for the Sydney to Hobart.

Be careful what you wish for. :)

I am certain we used a similar shot in the mid 90s as the backdrop for the team photo.

Looks like a poster for an AC/DC concert.

I don't mind the idea, but the talk has to be backed with the walk. I think we have some serious hardnuts in our side... on a par with Northey's 80's / 90's teams, so it'd be good to play on that, but we need to play finals to play that sort of card properly. Right now we are walking the walk in some games, and just talking it in others. Who remembers Carlton's 'They know what we are cooking' promo? They sunk faster than the Titanic that year. I don't want to see us trash talking and then finish nowhere.

Who would have thought that nature would follow creative design, rather than the other way around.

The MFC has always been trend setters.

you know, ldvc. being the herald-sun (or any of the media for that matter) it wouldn't surprise me at all if indeed that picture was photoshopped, at least in some aspect. or maybe i'm just getting too cynical - lol

No need to apologise. The media have brought it all upon themselves. It's hard to believe the media used to be highly regarded. But no more.

I wish that lightning bolt created the 1.21 GW of electricity needed to take the MCG back to 1964 to remind us what it takes to win a flag.

I don't know, judging where it looks like the lightning is striking, I'd say it is God smiting the Royal Hotel in a Sodom and Gomorrah style.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
