Welcome to Dan Andrew's Victoria where crime is out of control.

Well done Chelly.

So they notify the tower and fly back to Melbourne (60m) and then wait another 90mins before police boarded the plane. Lucky it wasn't an emergency.

Not quite as bad as the pathetic Lindt cafe seige respomse but seriously our law enforcement command in this country needs a giant rocket up their backsides.

Should've stormed the plane and shot him on the spot instead???

Well done Cell. Takes guts to do that. First passenger to stand up to the drunk.

It is just outrageous. I caught about 35 planes last year in Asia over a 6 month period and i cannot begin to imagine how that would feel. To not only land safely, but to then have sit and wait, for what.

It's just like that Farce in the city last January when the Cops did F$&@ all until people were dead.

Airports, i am still pretty sure are Federal Buildings in terms of the law, although they are now privately owned...

fmd ...Keystone Cops time

"It is understood the delay was partly caused by the failure of an on-call officer to respond to an emergency message.

Officers responding to the crisis were further held up, after being unable to locate firearms and body armour, the source said."

I wondered if the delay had anything to do with assessing risks, such as pressure decrease from opening the door setting off explosives, or making sure doors weren't set to set a bomb off if opened. A quote from one cop seems this played a role in the delay, but 90 minutes, seriously long time to leave people in limbo.

You've got to be pulling a leg? Airport security and AFP are run by a state government?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
