Love how the dogs are so full of themselves that there is no recognition of the ANZACs on their jumper because Bob's 300th is far more important to recognise! Screw them.

Umpire guessed that really late, conspiracy says it was once it was clear the dogs player wasn't clear.

Bulldogs deserved to win as they had far more shots and dominated with the ball in their forward half, but jeez they get a good run with the umps! Multiple poor umpiring decisions gone their way in the last quarter when they needed it.

The ump just paid a lions free and advantage really late once they were clear (he paid the free late as well), a nothing free that will even the ledger a bit.

It comes from years and years of your hopes and dreams being pounded into the turf week after week Old Dee..... You think, gee i like football but....maybe there is some other game on that may remotely interest me.......

I have been keen on basketball for a long time WWS.

but it is a game imo that is way better at the game. It loses a lot onTV.

but since they delete my team I seldom go to that.

follow the Storm on TV now and then for the same reason. At least they give you a good run for your money unlike a certain AFL team has done over the last several years

Never seen Sandi murdered by the umps before.

How do they do it? They're the masters of the holding off the ball, sly little ankle taps, blocking in marking contests, but game after game the umps love 'em.

Everything Freo did right against us, they're stuffing up against Norf and playing like kittens.

Freo look atrocious again. Maybe 4 omissions was a good call from Goodwin.

Absolutely. We had them by the scrotum last week at half time and let go.

It was a shocking 3rd Q

We just have to learn to keep the pressure on

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
