Sydney v Collingwood

Could be an interesting match. One would think Sydney have them covered but .... might be a close one

Sydney by 24-30 but I hope it's tighter

Light Winds and a maximum of 23 degrees suggest a great night for footy in the Harbour Town !

I hope it's a close match, but i fear sydney might blow it right out before qtr time. I'd rather see an ugly close game than a clean blowout. Although regardless seeing collingwood 0-3 would be great

Don't like the thought of Essendon being 3-0 but really like Carlton being 0-3. Fair dilemma that. Would also like Hawthorn and Norf both be 0-3 a swell.

That is a really young swans team.  Perhaps not by average age as they still have a bunch of veterans and premiership players, but there are a lot of unproven ikids in the team too.

Is it hyperbole to say that Bucks is coaching to save his job tonight?  Can not see their average list coming back from an 0-3 hole

no, but if they're anything worse than 2-4 going into the game against carlton in round 7 he will be.

Would like Sydney to absolutely confirm their premiership credentials and destroy Collingwood.

Return the mantle of inner city rivalry to the real Melbourne Sydney match as we rise to that status.

If that rivalry can be achieved I'll be watching the Dees on Friday night blockbusters

For tonight I'd say Swans, probably in a grand 'Buddy's night out' (in the football way).

It's interesting that most of the undefeated teams play eachother this weekend.

I'll be hoping that Carlton knock off Essendon - I think the balance of disappointment for fans of the two teams works out best that way. Plus, don't like seeing the Bombers in the 8.

Might be a bit much to hope that Freo will take the Bulldogs, but that still means that there would only be 4 teams still undefeated. Geelong or Melbourne will be one of them, in the top 4 and already a game clear of the pack...

Oh bugger, there's something to play for, we're doomed!

Pies pack some really key positions, they don't have any quality half back playmakers, forward line relies on one kid and some flat track bullies and they have zero backline

Brent Sanderson just likened Buddy to Nick Riewoldt.

Got me thinking if they were equally healthy and same age which would you put in your team.

I would probably go for Riewoldt because I perceive him as more mobile but I must say Buddy for his size is very mobile.

Roos running ability is amazing, he's a great leader and ultra consistent, buddy is a freak and his best is probably better but I still would pick roo

Whats with BT talking about good kicks for goal "he missed, but it shouldn't be seen as a bad kick" all of a sudden...it'll go down as a point in all future literature pal...

Rushing rule, keeps the ball in play and rewards the attacking team. I don't mind it.

Wow pies doing the business early. Way too early to for Buckley to be under pressure. They're still playing for "him".

He's in his sixth season and we went past them in Roos' third year. They've brought it tonight (so far), but the Swans haven't turned up yet. The Swans (with admittedly numerous 'outs') look eminently gettable this year as well.

There are three teams I fear in the AFL this season. Bulldogs, GWS and West Coast. We match up well on Adelaide, but they might be the fourth team. The rest are very beatable.

Massive second quarter coming up.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
