I think a bit harsh on Stretch, only his 2nd year and is still 19. Shows great poise, speed and decision making and is a big part of our future.

Hogan had some poor games but I think it's more because we rely much less on him. Not to mention he's in his 2nd season and is only 21.

Again harsh on Dom Tyson. Judged harshly throughout and his final 12 weeks were elite

Otherwise spot on. Great work this year Joeboy :)

excellent review,

Did think Stretch was better than you implied, "skilled outside player". Dom Tyson had a good season, but I agree he needs to hit more targets. Vince was great until the last 4-5 weeks, but those were awful.

Thanks Joeboy for your contributions. Of course I didn't always agree but your three worders were always a post that I was quick to read and ponder.

I think young Wagner will make a big step next year. He impressed in many games.  He and Hunt could form a very attacking halfback line. Jayden Hunt was a sensation and excited us all with his attack on the ball and his extreme pace. I still maintain that he will be  Don Williams all over again. And what a player Donny was.

People like you kill the generally good vibe on this site. I was only cracking a light gag and you decided to turn the conversation toxic. I'm not sure why you felt the need to do that.

About the only ones I'd dispute. IMO
Newton 2 (2 games - one poor, one OK),
Michie 3 (4 games incl 3 poor),
Weiderman 3
VDB 6.5

BTW if Viv is delisted, as I suspect, I hope he gets picked up by another club. A friend who knows him says he's a ripping young bloke, shy beyond belief.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
