I have the most annoying Carlton supporters at work. Will be depressing if we lose

there is no other type of carlton supporters dl5

If we go wanting to get percentage increase we might lose it. Just attack the game like the last two and we'll be right.

On a wet day I'll settle for a 30 or win

I'm going with 2 young kids. Invited BBO initially, but quickly realised he would struggle to focus on the game so tactfully withdrew the offer. I told him to [censored] off.

Ethan, if you are looking for accommodation tonight there is a squalid mansion near Romsey over run by livestock that could provide you with a cardboard sheet to lay down on. Keep one eye open at all times.

Go Dees!

Let's remember it's (possibly/probably?) Roosey's last game at the G.

if nothing else, Dees, turn it on for us to thank the man!

You are forgetting our game at the G on Sept 11 against Girlong.

I tip a win, but have no idea what the margin might be. Just winning will be enough for me. As long as next week is a live game and not a dead rubber.

Bugger it. Dees by 45.

Hey Ethan,if we can get around 80 Demonlanders to donate $100 each to cover the fine, will you do a streak across the G today?

I'll throw in 50 push ups in the centre square as well.

The answer is yes.

Seeing happy Demon supporters has made my year. May it continue as we smash these [censored].

BSB and a/c number pls

Im a little nervous because I just hope the boys arent thinking to far ahead and just focusing on winning today. Many reasons why i dont want to lose today. But cant wait to see how hogan and weiderman go today

I just dont want to lose especially to carlton

Obviously I want to keep our finals chances alive and make r23 exciting next week and have the media talk about how we can snatch 8th spot

I want Brad Scott to have to worry and squirm about his team needing to win to secure 8th spot

But how good a feeling would it be to leave the mighty G today with all dees fans smiling and happy knowing we are playing for a finals spot next week.

GO DEES!

I have woken up with a mixture of emotions this morning - excitement, nervousness, wonderment (that we have got through this strange season and still might be finals contenders) and above all hope that the stars are aligning and the outcome is positive for us all.

I am off to do some yoga now where today's intention will be not about world peace but for a Demons win.❤️?

My Collingwood supporter husband is coming along with me to the game decked out in red and blue - he dislikes Carlton immensely so he wasn't hard to persuade.

Go Dee's ❤️?❤️?

If your husband will do that for you then perhaps keep him a bit longer.

Massive occasion today.

Can't believe Ethan is in town.

The missus and I are heading to the gym about 2:30 our time (roughly 3:30 yours). I hope that the game is truly won and run by that stage (either I head to the gym full of euphoria or seething rage).
I watched the first two episodes of Underbelly (the gangland wars) last night and saw Alphonse get whacked. Is this an omen for today? Though I should remember that it was Jason doing the shooting who was also a Carlton supporter. Sadly, not many gangsters have been known to support the mighty Demons.

Kerridge and Silvagni are late outs, Everitt and Graham are in.

No late change for us.

He has been to more Dees games this year than Pies games. He's a keeper❤️?

Don't forget to keep your end of the bargain by refusing to go to Pies games.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

With their season all over bar the shouting the Demons head back on the road for the third week in a row as they return to Adelaide to take on the Crows. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
