Dean Kent - 50 games

Doesn't feel like he's been around long enough, does it?

Really enjoyed his journey so far.  Damaging when in form; backs his pace, kicks goals and generally uses it well.  Hopefully the next 50 sees an increase in consistency; this has already improved notably throughout the year this year.

Onya Dean!

Love the way this bloke goes about it. Has all the characteristics you've listed above Nasher, plus a reasonable slice of mongrel which I love!

Quickly becoming one of my favourite players.  Has a little 'X-factor' about him, and while there is still room for improvement, when he's on song his left foot and gut running are up there with the best at the club.

As you say Nasher, let's hope he continue to improve over his next 50!

Can always count on you WB for a healthy dose of optimism. It's becoming enjoyable again being a Dee's supporter.

I stated a while back that he is a true footballer's footballer however at the rate he is going he'll be a lot more than that.

Smart, damaging when given a break but my best rap would be i reckon he would be a coaches dream. Has that good selfish arrogance however he loves bringing his teammates into the play.

Well done Dean, Richmond are the new owners of "The False Dawns" so enjoy mate as i hope u understand what ur about to be part of.

The next 50 are the make or breaks for Dean...he's heading in the right direction now but needs to keep on the improve.

Can be lazy, inconsistent, kicking is hit or miss, very one sided and loses focus.

Love the mongrel in him and has some raw talent. Look forward to see how he develops.

Kent and Hunt are good to have in the team when you need to vent in the crowd.

Except when people mistake what you've said, as was the case with me a couple of weeks ago and some toff MFC 'supporter' with his seat cushion.

It doesn't!

I thought he was still the precocious 20-year-old, but he's 22 and a half already! 23 goals in his 17 games this year, a good lift on his (short) career average.

Too late for him to get a right foot now, though, methinks!

Yes, similar player indeed.

Built a bit like Chapman, but quicker.  If he can have that sort of career we're well ahead.

Been a fan ever since i watches his under 18 highlights when we drafted him.

Gun player and looks to be a good team man too

His last 10 or so games have been very good, after a patchy start to the season.

The beauty about Kent is that he was drafted on the back of winning the under 18 league colts medal being a full time midfielder.

His career so far has been played on a half forward flank and we have seen the glimpse of explosive pace and X factor.

I hope Kent really sets himself up for a massive pre season and continues to build his tank because a fit and firing Dean Kent playing midfield could be the missing dynamic and X factor our midfield needs.

Kent and Hunt. Those guys might finally be able to bring some variation to our 1 pace midfield. Tracc and Stretch also provide different kinds of run without being super quick.

I think its a bit corny when media identities compare a NAB Draft Pick to a modern player with the phrase "He is as luke hodge type player blah blah.

But the absolute worst for down right stupidity phrases are the ones that come from our supporter/posters.

Petracca, Hogan, Oliver. Those three alone without doubt from wat EVERYBODY has seen (I picked it drafttime and happy to blow my own trumpet lol) are on their way to bona-fide superstars.

They are in extremely elite category of being their own person for 2 easy reasons

1. I cringe when i hear "plays like and love to ban the phrase and

2. They are/will be THAT good that u cant compare.

He has plenty of talent, but he also has a tendency to do the common things uncommonly poorly. I hope he can find some more consistency within the next 50 games.

Has the tools to be a very good player. Its been a fantastic development year for him. He's a tad inconsistent but it's easy to forget that he's still only 22. Could be on track to kick 30 goals this well.

I'd like to see him move into the midfield.

I'd give him go as a tag on Mitchell for periods this week to get him ready for next year.

But then, I waited patiently for Daniel Bell to not become a midfielder.

biggest difference is kent can play, bell never used his pace with the ball, bell had no idea how to play.
