I will never forget hearing a mate tell me about the bus ride back from Adelaide after week 1 of the finals in 2014.

Their fans continue to think they're part of something special.

Most but not all.... Still have some Tiger friends acquaintances who believe their list is still in good shape, and that if they brought in a new coach and new game plan, they would be back playing finals.

I know that those in glass house shouldn't throw stones, and we have been a basket case forever, but there is nothing funnier than the 5 yearly Richmond coup.  Twice a decade, without fail they tear the place down and start over.

While we might be the tragedy of the AFL, the Tigers are the comedy act.

That's just what my Richmond mate said to me!!

they really don't get it. That was a 186 effort from the players last weekend.

Hardwick has to walk if he has any brains

An honorable man would... but then again, Hardwick does not have this quality..  History has shown that once you fail as an AFL Head Coach, then you are thrown on the scrap heap.

That is a scarce commodity in the AFL these days SPC.

I would be saying to Richmond "I have a a two year contract and will coach next year, you want me out you pay $1million"

I know nearly all involved in the pub meeting. Nothing will happen. Sadly.

There might be an exception - did Tim Watson quit St Kilda without a payout?

Apart from that possible exception, though, I agree with you.

Did Watson walk with nothing?

Fascinating if he did, coz he aint short of $$$'s lives in Elwood.

I doubt that very much.

And sorry, are you saying that coaching a bad team killed Dean Bailey? Just want to be clear.

Come on. Honour has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I am saying the stress of the whole episode would have contributed to his Cancer...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
