GAME DAY - Round 13

Recommended Posts

I'm remarkably relaxed this morning, which is most unusual on game day, and even more so with so much riding on the result for us.  I don't quite know how to interpret this new gameday feeling, but I'm putting a positive spin on it, and assuming it's a good omen.  Illogical I know, but Dees by 9 points in a low scoring affair.

I reckon we will give it a red hot crack, but there is still a big class difference between us and the Swans. Most of our class is visible and emerging, but still in the developing potential stage. The Swans have class on every line and a midfield that is huge in body size.

Maybe the Swans lowest ranked 5 players are not as good as they used to be and our lowest ranked 5 are much better than they have been in years, but I can still see a 30 point loss coming up.

Gawn, Hogan and TMac are our vital three. And Buddy is in the form of his life and could murder us.

If wet, I would like to see smarter wet weather play from us. I hope we learned something from the Hawks the other week.

We tend not to learn from those experiences. Sorry for the pessimism, but I think in the wet, on their dung heap, the Swans will be too good. Hope to hell I am wrong though.

Pity that we hadn't learned when we took on the Bombers, as a win would have us in the 8 now. Also if North hadn't used their own umpires in Tassie, we would have won that as well and been entrenched in the 8 at this point of the season.

Oh well if my Auntie had balls.

A bit of light comedy to get things rolling.

Enjoy!

I found the footage of Jim Stynes, Dean Bailey and Liam Jurrah a bit sad actually......amazing win tho. Lets hope the boys can stand up today.

I'll be heading back from a non-eventful weekend at Buller and will be watching it on Foxtel Go sparingly as my 4G drops in and out.

Dees by 27.

When the SCG are charging $5.90 for chips and $7 for a pie the win was in vain.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
