Basil Zemplis on Watts: "Gee Watts is having a good afternoon..."

what planet is Basil on?

Are you at the game? He's been very very good, and I've been no fan at all

What started well has been turned on its head. Worrying signs for floodgates to open:

qtr time

Haw 4.5.29

Melb 2.0.12

Who missed Dawes in the middle when he was on his own ?

9 scoring shots to 2. Going to be a massacre, our players are not hacking the ball forward like the Hawks are

46 handballs... God we are dumb.

This is the aspect I hope they fix up at quarter time.  What Mitchell just did is a prime example - get the ball moving forward as quick as you can in these conditions, even if it's a kick off the ground.  They have been giving their forwards a chance, yet when we go forward it's either too slow or we miss a target.

They kick the ball off the ground to a target in the wet better than we kick normally in dry weather.

They could be 8-1 and the game would be all over. Missed sitters

how can we allow so many marks in 50 on a wet day?

Half as many tackles as Hawks. Tells you everything you need to know about this team.

They're in control.

They know how to play wet weather footy. We don't.

They know how to man up. We don't.

They know how to take a contested mark. We don't.

They are smart. We are not.

Not looking good.

The brain fart for me undone a great deal for mine. Basil must have been head down in a pie at the time.

Watts is horrible in these conditions.

Expect him to be "worst on ground" today.

Garland weak as.

Tell me a why dunny isn't playing?

Best I have seen Watts play. He's been tough and in it. Made one mistake

Ok, tell me what Garland managed to do wrong today?

Maybe not turn up...

Midfield needs to be smarter with the conditions and move it quicker, knock it on, less handball.

Our current back line is horsesh*t and it's a f*cking disgrace Dunn isn't out there with what's currently unfolding. Selection panel have been pathetic this season.

Hard to get a free against the drink driving , drugged up family club.

Happy with the effort so far.

Not enough pressure on the half forwRd line again.

watts super and OMac looking the part.

Experience (and lots of it) vs inexperience (and lots of it).

The amount of times Hawks players tried to fend off or break a tackle and not get pinged for it was incredible.
