Watch out for the PETRACCATTACK

You been sitting on this one comment for 18 months. Congrats my fine sir

I have been given some inside new as to why Petracca is playing this weekend. WE NEED SOME ONE IN THE MIDDLE WHEN WE SING THE SONG AFTER THE GAME.

Thought about Gawn, Viney, Oliver and Petracca in a centre bounce together and now I need to change my underpants

Oliver might not play.

I've changed my thinking from earlier, and now think that Petracca might come straight in for Gus with no other changes.

Also, Roos' face during that meeting with Petracca: "It has been really hard to find a spot for you in the team" :roos:

We've almost got TOO MUCH talent on the list to have them all play at once! OK I'm getting too excited now...

Absolutely shattered that I'm not gonna be there!! Already planned the bar in Bali we'll be watching it from though ? swig of Bintang per Petracca disposal hopefully puts me on the floor by the end of the match :P

What I love is we struggle to find places for good players in our team. I hope he settles quickly, the Saints are no easy beats.

Next I want to see Trenners back in the team fit and back to his best.

Might actually consider going to Etihad just to see Petracca debut and hopefully a Dee's win.

Ugh...I feel dirty already.

He has already got me to Casey fields twice so why not Shitihad.

The picture of Jack Viney giving Christian a hug is awesome. Genuine warmth.  The momentum is really building at the club at the moment.  So exciting!!!

Dont usually bother with Etihad...but I will be this week! Such an exciting time to be a dees fan....and its been MANY years since anyone could say that.

[censored] it....... the lid is officially off! The boys are talking finals and....

PEETTTRRRRAAAAAACCCCCCCAAAAAAAAA!!!

Hallelujah to that. I remember a year or two back, after another thumping, KB on the radio said "come on Melbourne fans, call in and tell us how you feel".

I wanted to call in and say "we don't feel anything. We're numb."

There's nothing like rocking up to the footy, knowing you're a genuine chance to win, with the excitement of not knowing what's actually going to happen.

GO DEMONS!!!!

I'LL BE THERE!!!!!

By pure coincidence I'm making a rare trip to Etihad this week due to previously arranged corporate seats.

Not only will I get to see the Truck debut, but I'll be safely separated from the scurrilous banana wielding innuendo loving feral factions that inhabit 'Land.

Win/win.

You're kidding yourself Stu. Your lack of class will be exposed early and you'll get the arse out of the corporate seats fairly quickly!!

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
