Dean Terlich......

I'll let my self out

I know that you're being facetious, but I'm actually quite looking forward to seeing how Terlich goes. By most accounts he's had a great preseason, and based on this positive report, he's in fantastic shape having shed 8kg and recorded a personal best in the 3km time-trial. While I know it's highly unlikely that he'll come into the team and become one of our best players, I'll be watching with interest to see whether his strong pre-season translates into on-field improvement in 2016. It sounds like his hard work has at least put him in strong contention for selection in the NAB matches.

All, but I chose Petracca.

I almost feel guilty for not selecting Jesse, such is my manlove, but I already know what he'll do.

Can't wait to see Trenners, but I also know his talent (when fit) and I expect him to make a full recovery.

Can't wait to see Oliver and reckon he'll show as much as Brayshaw (if not more).

But Petracca is a special talent that we've been denied and at 20 years of age, even though it's his first year of playing, he can really make the competition stand up and take notice.

he's already been injured twice before playing a game. Let's hope he hasn't been damaged or that he isn't one of 'those' players who can't get on the park eg Trengove

Just rewatched the Round 23 game against GWS and to put it simply, Christian Salem is a class above. This guy will be a serious player for us and I can't wait to see him take the next step this year. Reminds a bit of Adem Yze (a seriously unmentioned player on this forum) with his kicking skills and ability to play all over the ground.

If he plays 20 odd games this year, he'll give the Bluey a serious shake.

McDonald, Trengove, Tyson, Viney, Gawn, Salem, Brayshaw, Hogan, Vandenberg, Kent, Oliver, Petracca and Weideman

Sometimes I just like to type it out

What I'm excited to see is who actually leads and puts us back in the game when things start to go pear shaped. Until we develop this type of player improvement will be slow.

Deen Terlick

You may laugh but l get a hunch that he will surprise a few people this coming Saturday. It was no accident that he finished third in our "best and fairest" only a few year's ago. It was only his skill levels that let him down, not his G&D!

No, it wasn't an accident it was a statement of how poor we were that year.

I don't like the Yze comparison and I've knocked it before. I loved 'Ooz' in the early years, but I grew weary of his softness and picking and choosing which contests to hit. Salem is deceptively tough though. His only major weaknesses so far are his ability to get a lot of it and his inability to stay on the park.

If he manages to get 30 touches, we'll win just about every time. His skills and decision-making are A grade.

Not a senior player yet but i chose Sam Weideman. The kid intrigues me. Was rated a genuine top 3 prospect if injury didn't affect him and Brad Johnson and Brent Sanderson have both said last year that if he gets his body right he could seriously be the pick of the draft.

You only have watch his highlights against the Northern Blues to see the serious potential this kid has. Strong contested mark who is courageous in the air and has neat skills on both sides of his body. At 196cm i hope he grows  a few centimeters because him up and firing along with Hogan could become a dangerous combo.

Casey have lacked a genuine key forward since Hogan so there's definitely a spot up forward for him and Max King to make it their own.

I was under the impression that the club is not expecting much of him straight off the bat?

And im not expecting him to see him at senior level all that much.

His development at Casey is what I look forward too.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
