Got mine yesterday. On the back of last year's card it indicated that I had 48 years of consecutive membership. This year's card says I have 46 years. Now, while I would love roll the years back that easily, I was proud to be approaching 50 years of membership.

To their credit, I called the club and they have undertaken to amend this and reinstate my antiquity.

i think it only fair in the circumstances, iva, that they credit you an extra year for your 50th. surely a hardship and pain and suffering compensation.

Hahahaa- Yeah and life membership to the MCC, a free car space, a reserved seat, my own personalised tartan rug, monogrammed letter patches for my houndstooth blazer, a Range Rover from AHG and a free chalet at Falls Creek. We just have to keep turning up that stereo.................type

Australia post letter department has me in wonderment.

I know that the electronic age is killing letters

However is there another business on Earth that increases prices and reduces service and expects to improve its financial position?

The AFL? :blink::blink:

Got mine and the kids packs this morning. I love watching them open them up, it's like early Xmas presents for them, heaps of goodies. Some great stuff in there for the little ones, even a back pack - the kids wore these around all morning :)

Club kindly said they will mail me out a scarf as I won't be attending games until June

I shall be wearing it with pride (length permitting) overseas as I wake up at the crack of dawn to watch us win*

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
