Oh No!

Give your vintage, old dee, I knew you'd struggle the most widely with this apparition.

Convinced myself that Toumpas could play.

Said nice things about Mitch Clark.

Argued that Sylvia would come good.

Said Stefan Martin would never be a footballers' bootlace.

Believed Schwabby's whiteboard Wednesdays.

Convinced myself that Liam Jurrah was a clean-cut tribal elder that would be AFL's greatest story.

Sounds like you were very much a victim of Demonland group think at the time.

The much touted Schwabian Era Melbourne Brotherhood turned out to be a great fraud. Nev Jetta the one most least likely out of that lot is the only one to make it.

I was once convinced Roos was going to deliver us a premiership like he did the Swans, Jackson was going to take us permanently out of debt and transform us into a power club and that Hogan and Petracca would become top ten players of the competition and play in multiple Demon premierships.

Seriously delusional.

i confess i have never attempted karaoke (or hari kiri for that matter)

It's hara kiri (腹切り= literally stomach cutting).

It's kind of redundant to say that really. If you had attempted it, you wouldn't be here to report about the experience.

Move outside of Borewood and you too will learn about these things.

Towards the end of his first season, I told my mates Cale Morton would win a brownlow one day.

Beat that!!

needless to say i had to find new mates

I also keep believing the many re-builds we have had will work

also, im still cut about Scully leaving even though he is an average player

man, its good to get all that off my chest!

You could argue you were close with Morton. His best mate and fellow skinny kid who lived next door got the Brownlow. Edited by america de cali

I moved from Victoria to Queensland in 2006, it was the last time the MFC played finals. I take full responsibility for the club becoming a mess after my departure.

To make amends, I've decided to move back to Victoria at the start of 2016. History will show that when my postcode starts with a "3", we generally make finals. You're welcome.

I still think we can win the '87 Premiership, every-time, prior to re-watching the Preliminary final match.

I just watched that game, too....

Wow, footy's changed! No accountability, no system, no structure...

We were damned good that day, but the Swans' players had zero accountability for their opponent.

Ted, the last time we won a flag, Old Dee and WYL were in uniform, and I was still in liquid form.

Let's just start with finals, and we'll see where that takes us!

Are you now confessing to a drinking problem?

(I reckon most of us here ought to have a drinking problem.)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
