So EQ is on to it again.

42 has disappeared off the list but Brisbane still have it and will likely use it.

As for the picks:

GWS will pick 2 or 3 kids (Hopper, Kennedy +/- Himmelberg) using 10, 34 and 42 - we move up 0 or 1 pick

Brisbane will pick 2 kids using 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 - we move up 2-3 picks

Sydney will pick 1 or 2 kids (Mills +/- Dunkley) using 33, 36, 37 and 43 - we move up 2-3 picks

I'd be surprised if our picks don't end up 40/41 and 45/46.

That is the dumbest [censored] thing...

The AFL cannot help themselves, for every 3 good decisions - they will just throw a stinker out there.

Essentially, I was right about the list spots equating to the revised order, but I was wrong about those teams losing those picks - they are now 'hidden' picks to appear at a moments notice...

FMD.

They have already lost people because it is confusing so they make it more confusing...

Yep. Agree 110%.

I was sure the picks couldn't be taken away from them because I heard Brett Clothier say they had permission to take them to the draft on the AFL Podcast.

But then 42 disappeared. Now it's still there but hidden. Mind numbing.

I understand they don't want to sit through 16 teams passing on the night but I don't think this is an appropriate solution.

They should have just made it dynamic and as soon as a team passes the order is revised with that team out.

And clubs like us with no FS or Academy players can just be removed and not have ours hidden...

It's just another illustration of the way they do things but don't think them through entirely.

There is no Quality Assurance with Clothier and Keane, they think they are the smartest guys in the room and I bet they have to pick their rooms carefully...

Last year I was impressed by the write-up of ANB and was hoping he would slip to one of our later picks after being touted as an early 2nd round pick. I was absolutely stoked he was still there at 40 and pumped that we called his name out. This year, through even less research and watching less footage (read highlights) I'm going to put up a couple names that I hope will slip through to our later picks. I have no idea if these kids can play football, but if we recruit one of these guys I'll be claiming them as my boy and expect to be praised for my uncanny ability to hedge my bets, guess and hope.

If we could Snag Kieran Lovell at one of these picks that'd be a huge win, nearly as good as ANB at 40 odd.

If we got any of Bonner, Balic and Maitherson at our next pick that'd be an amazing result

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
