I would have taken him in a heartbeat. Getting on but still managed 21 touches & 5 marks a game & kicked 30 goals.

We are desperately in need of some experience up forward to organise the troops & make space for Jesse H.

Can't believe they didn't sound him out . Oh well have to do with Jake M instead.

I thought Pickett was okay at the demons. Vardy was very good when fit, some games very,very,good.

Stevie J is an undisciplined attention seeker. Clubs like Melbourne don't need this type. Give me honest goers like Hogan and Brayshaw any day.

Anyone who thinks Steve J would be a great pickup for the MFC shows a complete lack of understanding of where our club is and where we want to go. Our recruiting is still easily the most underwhelming in the AFL. Complete your tasks recruiters, or get outa here.

Some of you critics have no idea. He is actually team oriented & a very smart player - not to mention AA, Norm Smith medallist & 3 premierships - that means he is a couple of levels above Daniel Cross. And his form this year was pretty good.

He might even have taught Max Gawn not to spoil Jesse Hogan.

Would have made a great asset.

Only have to see the way he carried on at Josh Walker when he didn't give him the ball to realise what an absolute idiot he is and that negative effect it would have on our young kids.

In a roundabout way, it's a good thing Stevie left Geelong; last year he looked slow, lazy and frustrated. He's benefited immensely from the move.

Agree with you wholeheartedly.

Wouldve helped unlock the creative flair of the likes of Petracca and been immensely positive with teaching Hogan how to operate as a key forward because clearly nobody else at the club has any fuggen idea.

Got caught playing away with a young GWS employee in his first month there, not ground-breaking, but also not a great bloke.
Culturally a bad influence, but a good influence in terms of setting standards and mindset of continually seeking improvement.
What he'd bring us, I think we can get from better sources.
