The diminutive JKH suffered from the second year blues and injury which limited his season to just 8 AFL games. Despite his disappointing year, he still looks looks capable of significant improvement and will need to do so in 2016.

Goals MFC 2015 2

Very disappointing second year. I'm just not sure what characteristics he possesses that will allow him to thrive at AFL level: smallish, not quick, doesn't get heaps of the footy, doesn't work overly hard defensively. May end up being handy depth, but hard to see him being best 22, as the likes of Stretch, Neal-Bullen, Harmes and others go past him.

I rate him.

He's creative, clever and given a decent run will easily be best 22.

I still remember pre season v the Tigers two years ago, 3 goals in a qtr.

Disposal needs some tidying up.

Mixed reports from Casey throughout the year.

Contracted for two more years. I'm assuming this club is no longer into waiting 7 years for a breakout season.

Jay didn't seem to come on at all in 2015, after a fairly promising debut season. I hope it was just a bad case of 'second year blues', but somehow I doubt it. Needs to add a 'point of difference' to his game, and a very big summer is required to build up his tank.

Still think he can become a very handy player for us.

Just needs to work on his defensive game and I believe he has the ability to keep the pressure on the likes of Garlett & Kent.

Having said that, he needs a good 2016.

He's disappointingly slow considering his size. Not quite sure where he fits in. I can see him maybe evolving into a Jetta-like player down back. Needs to clean up his disposal. His game against Adelaide last year was probably his best for the club. Hit the scoreboard early, pressured both up forward and down back. Still works hard and tries to get himself into the game but sometimes his awareness and skills let him down. Needs a big pre-season.

I accept I'm probably just being mislead by a poor season, but I don't think he has any elite attributes. I don't think he's quick, tenacious or clever enough to be a high impact forward and his engine will prevent him being a mid.

Has time on his side to work on his weaknesses, but I'm not confident.

Well, I think he has had a solid first two years to get 22 games under his belt. I agree that I don't see one elite area of his game, and that's my rule now - you don't get drafted unless you have one elite aspect to contribute with early.

Just don't know what position he can do that in...

It's been said so regularly on here that we all seem to accept it as fact, yet does JKH's appearance in the sprint tomorrow perhaps suggest that he is actually a lot quicker then we have all been led to believe?

No it means that we are tanking!

The sprint isn't always the fastest person at the club. I can't remember who it was, but someone ran in the sprint a couple of years ago just to get tickets to the grand final.

I don't think that clubs care who they enter in the race...it probably comes down to who's available and willing.

Injury report shows JKH is finally available to play this week.  I still hold out hope he will be a good AFL player.   I hope he is persevered with in 2017, even if that means sticking him on the rookie list. (not sure of his contract status).

I agree, there was some promising signs in the last couple of years and do really hope he can show us some more in coming seasons.

He will struggle to get past October.

All over due to injuries etc. But to be honest I never saw much a couple of good quarters in three years.

His chance has past.

I'd like to call for his delisting prior to actually knowing WTF he has been doing.

Usually I do that when someone has been injured for too long.
