Meth Coke have got to get their shite together or this could be a repeat of '99

Fond memories of watching that game in Koh Samui with an Essendrug supporter

Had already bought his Granny Ticket

Never saw him again... :)

I quite like Sideshow Bob, is a young player (30 odd games), but he had a shocking 2nd quarter, owes them at least 2 goals

He can do some fantastic things and look like a gun then he can be completely horrible.

Am torn ATM.

On the one hand, the potential of both WA teams failing in prelim and the subsequent mood in Perth makes me chuckle. Also a team winning from 8th is not bad.

On the other hand, I hate North, they were allowed to effectively cheat in the last round. Also can't see them beating Hawks, Eagles Breyer chance IMO. Finally did I mention how much I hate Norf

Afl will have to change the rules and give all teams the week off before the finals...

The North V WCE game is a clear advertisement of how poor the modern game can be. If I want to watch a tackle-fest I can turn over to channel 9 and watch Melbourne Storm. Ball-up followed by 8 players tackling each other, followed by pressu re d possesions and on it goes. I hate Hawthorn, but boy their football is really good to watch: contested ball followed by incredible kicking and team footy.

WCE are an excellent team and have played brilliantly this year so North bring that boring, slow, defensive footy that is simply carp to watch, bring the game down to a crappy game of who can win the tackle count.

Moments of good footy in this final series, but in the main it has been a snooze.

Indeed, it will be interesting to see who will prevail, still think it will be west coke.

geez it feels like nth have just dominated this game. Not sure how west coast are only 5 points behind. I thought Nic Nat left the ground during that 2nd quarter. Hardly saw him. kennedy needs more help from Darling and Lecras.

Didn't even realise Darling was playing.

Not surprising to see a clueless coach like Scott simply turning this into a tackle slogfest to prevent anyone from scoring. Shithouse footy.

Bloody exhausting for North to spend all 4 quarters just man-watching rather than ball-watching; I'm hopeful this breaks open in the second half and the Eagles kick away.

The Umpiring tonight is a joke. They seriously need to overhaul the entire umpiring department.

.....and instead the AFL want to dig deeper into the cesspit and add an extra maggot each game - ie a 25% dilution of the already thin pickings.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
