Strategy to bring players who supported the mighty Demons as kids...

Andrew Gaff - possible end 2017 but highly unlikely

Scott Pendlebury- will retire as a Magpie legend

Dion Prestia- end 2016 hopefully

David Astbury - would not add to our deficiencies. we are ok for tall backmen.

Andrew Moore - time is right now as out of contract

Jonathan Patton - only if Hogan leaves

Sam Mayes - possible now in trade period

Zac Jones - unlikely but MFC could check every single year without fail

Really gotta wonder how many draftees will be Melbourne supporters in 10 years time.

funny you say that. I went to the fathers day breakfast at my sons primary school recently where everyone was asked to wear their team colours. My son and I and 2 other dads/kids were the only ones in the school hall of around 500 kids wearing Dees scarves/jumpers, that is a real shame. The only way we can keep this club's membership base alive is to lock in Hogan for 10 years on $1.5m and then build a team around him. I nearly headbutted one arrogant , balding rusty-nut wearing a hawthorn jumper who found it hilarious to chant" '88, '88" at me - not the best look I decided at a nice little Catholic primary
