Things I like about Hogan

Curry & Beer

Recommended Posts

1. He racks up goals without even seeming to need to do anything special to get them, which suggests he will have a long career of racking up plenty

2. He pretty much never loses a 1-on-1, just brings it to ground at worst

3. He missed a year with injury then just waltzed in and started performing like it ain't no thang

The remainder of this post has been contributed to by Demonland's finest

4. Hes the only key forward to rag doll Alex Rance this year
5. Hes got mongrel and is built like a brick [censored] house
6. He has the arrogance that all the greats of the game possess
7. The way he swoops his fringe to the side.
8. When he points to the spot he marked the ball and makes the man on the mark walk back to it.
9. He plays for Melbourne Demons.
10. That we don't have to wait for him to bulk up
11. He is stubborn in his approach to goal
12. The ball only has to be kicked NEAR him for him to make an impact
13. Slick hair, not your skinhead "I'll punch you if you look at me" thug, thus broadening his appeal
14. Hasn't gone goalless yet
15. Works well with Garlett
16. Not afraid to bark at others, has a sense of authority and maturity.
17. Shows no sign of back pain
18. One of few players to deservedly wear number 1
19. Wears a baggy jumper
20. ACTUALLY LIVES UP TO EXPECTATIONS
21. Deceptively athletic
22. Hasn't gone back to Casey yet.
23. Hasn't gone back to Perth yet.
24. I like that after seven years of watching Melbourne teams being bullied here is a bloke who won't take a backward step in a red and blue jumper. He combines this with a once in a generation talent
25. Contested marking
26. Brilliant decision maker
27. Fantastic handballer, which goes unnoticed
28. Has shown he can slot goals on both his left and right feet on the run with rare class for a power forward
Pace
29. Will get nastier
30. He's a winner.
31. I love the way he has little wrestles with his opponents.
32. He ain't nobodies [censored].
33. He'll become the league's no. 1 forward.
34. His strut

I love the way he has little wrestles with his opponents.

Let's chip in $2 each to support him

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. He has re-signed on to the Demons for 1 more season in 2025. Date of Birth: 12 August 1991 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 229 Goals MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 188

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses.
