Probably going to the game courtesy of a Newtown mate based in Melbourne. Enjoy going across to the Sawyers Arms after the game and being taunted by 'Deliverance' types. No doubt next weekend will be no exception.

From memory, (either last season or the season before that), Richmond members/ supporters travelled down the highway and found that they were allocated 500 tickets for the game. May be more than ample for Dees members.

I have read a few comments about bringing in King. this was his first week in the 1's vfl. Prior to his he has been in the development league.
I think we saw ANB experience a tough debut yesterday and perhaps he could have used a little more time in the vfl first.
Lets give max king a bit more time.

I hope Fitzy is right to go because I think he'd be important as the 2nd ruck which isn't really Dawes' go. He can play on Josh Walker and follow him in to the ruck (or Clark if he's back in).

Gawn's will have to be at his best to run around with Stanley (presuming he's fit) who destroyed Lobbe around the ground.

Watts and Vince are probably going to be tasked with minding Blicavs at stoppages and stopping his 3rd man up.

King in is silly talk.

He will likely sneak a debut toward seasons end though.

I'd have to agree HH. Let's not leave the kid shell shocked. Perhaps let's see where we're at come the Carlton clash.

Last weekend was one of a very few appearances by him for Casey seniors.

Can we let him settle at Casey seniors before we feed him to the lions or in this case the cats.

Most seem to think Dawes will come back in. Short memories IMO. Can any of the Casey watchers tell me if he has done enough at VFL to warrant selection? Has he taken a bunch of decent marks at Casey, kicked a bag of goals or got 25 possies? If not, pass.

As much as I hate to say it, I'd rather Jamar park his rrrse in the goal square and Hogan roam anywhere he wants in the forward half.

Pedersen out.

dawes in.

pedersen broken wrist according to doc larkins. Possible 6-8 week injury

Another game another major injury. A great run we are having this season but it is much like many of our past seasons. I could cop this if the top sides were having similar injury runs but I never see that but perhaps by definition top sides are those with few injuries. However the top sides are the same ones that have been around for far too long.

F No. Jamar would be a bloody statue. Dawes can at least run, chase tackle and split the defence.

The other problem Bbo is there is no one else.

Can't play ANB and Stretch again this week. Ultimately, their selection - especially both at once - led us to being effectively two down. It wasn't their fault, they're just not ready yet.

I can probably cop it if one stays in - preferably Bill - but I'd much rather have bigger bodies in there.

Not sure how much game time he had MS, Inside Football said he took 3 marks and kicked 1 goal

I can't see many changes this week after a close game where we won the ball pretty well but struggled again to turn defence into attack.

Unlike many posters I thought Riley's last quarter was huge and given that both he and Neal-Bullen spent a lot of time as high half-forward, where the ball never seems to come swiftly, then you have to give them latitude for not clocking up the possessions of the others - same applies to Jeffy. One of them will probably be manned up by Enright in his 300th and both are tough tacklers so he better not hold on to it for too long - especially against Riley.

Obviously Pedo is out and while I'd prefer Fitzy to come in because he offers ruck relief which we may need, I suspect it will be Dawes.

I think Michie is probably the most likely out and based on our record of playing the 23rd the next week, I think Terlich might get his chance, although Bail has VFL form on his side.

Not sure why people think Stretch should be out - he was not bad for a third gamer and the big/wide Kardinia Park will suit him.

My guess is we'll go Terlich and Neal-Bullen will be sub, thereby increasing the likelihood of Enright having to mark Riley.

The key match-ups will be Bernie on Selwood and Grimes on Stevie J, while I actually reckon we may pull a swifty and get Jack Watts to pick up Blicavs around the ground and play Gawny as a floater.

The Cats' form of late has been good, but I hope our guys realise they are not the once feared side that they were.

Sooner or later we are going to have an amazing win thats going to turn the club around and fill the list with confidence.

We are draftong and developing all the right types of players the last couple of years .. compettive beasts who hate to lose and happen to be able to play the game . (Hogan, Angus, Vandenberg, Viney, Kent, Salem, T Mac etc etc)

Will that club defining win come this week? Probably not. But it will come.

Where do I start Akum? Supporting Melbourne, it should come easily to you.

Its a bit like asking how does one write a realistic novel based on historical fact with a narrative about the juxtaposition of human joy and suffering. More of the latter than the former.

By the way I am quite good on relationships particularly those ending in separation and tragedy.

Great stuff H. You should write a book or two about it.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
