THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS

Recommended Posts

That's bollocks BB. WADA's decision to appeal does not negate the accuracy of reds comments about the standing of the tribunal members and the fact that is offensive to suggest they were somehow complicit in a corrupt, rigged outcome

I think you're getting ahead of yourself

Tell that to the Warren Commission.

beautiful rejoinder. posts like this lighten my day. nice to see a bit of humour on a depressing Friday afternoon, along with the usual character assassination, conspiracy theories, doomsayers, and the outright fruit cakes. Don't be offended fruit cakes I am kind of nutty myself hence all my bad habits. Where are those tablets?

AFLPA chief not buying in: AFLPA denies year-round hair testing has been agreed to

Here we have a classic example of a Tail wanting to wag the Dog...

Marsh strikes me as an empire building kkob. The entire AFLPA seem to be on another planet. Their warrant is to facilitare the welfare and conditions for players as it occurs WITHIN the context of the game, not to attempt to dictate above its station. If hair, blood, urine or any other testibg is deemed necessary in order to maintain compliance well then they (players) can bloody well suck it up.

Clearly the League needs to man up and remind these clowns (wannabe kings) just where all belong in the grwat scheme of things.

To dare the AFLPA has shown bizarre contempt for the health and wellbeing of the very individuals who actually require it.

The understanding of the rules and implementation of testing together with penalties should leave no room for neither misinterpreting nor non-compliance.

Thats why we're in this shlt !!

I think the AFLPA is looking at this issue primarily in terms of the players' civil liberties which its seeking to protect ahead of the other issue at play in terms of so-called "recreational" drugs. The problem is that, as we've seen with the two Collingwood players waiting on their B sample results, the lines between the two are blurred.

My concern is that the AFLPA should be looking after all of its constituents, particularly on health and safety which includes drug education and rooting out those involved in drug cheating and I don't believe they've done enough in recent years.

More bollocks Bb. Hair testing is about illicit drugs not PEDs. The players should flat out refuse hair testing and should refuse to be part of any testing regime outside of their wada obligations

If I were a player there is no way I'd agree to illicit drug testing unless it was policy across the entire AFL organisation. I'm no fan of illicit drugs, binge drinking or gambling but to take away people's civil liberties and right to be an as5hole is a bridge too far.

was i specifically refering to peds ? Was i

I tell you what i say black ..yiu can say white.

No time for your ccowning adversarial nonsenses.

Why should they refuse ANY testing that might show up anything illicit.

If correct protocols are implemented why should anyone object ?

Only someone with something to hide will.

maybe blurred...

It's an explanation of the Collingwood 2 that may or may not be right.

The AFLPA are basically a union, therefore you should not surprised by your description, especially as I can't think of one Union that doesn't act in that fashion.

Anyone see Gillon McLachlan and Paul Little sitting next to each other at the match last night? Gee that was special on a Friday night.

Looked about as chummy as me and the mother in law!

The next goal will be HUGE!

It my understanding that the players are just employees of their respective clubs?

Bit rough to compare an Association to a Union...

That is effectively what they are. How are they any different?

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
