AFL Round 6 (non MFC games)

Wouldn't wish injury on him but don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him.

Two other rumours floating around that he was abused by a Collingwood supporter who was ejected, and he got into an altercation with a Geelong official.

Seriously, WTF? I'd be sick to death of this guy if I was a Geelong supporter.

I understand how serious mental illness is but if these sorts of reactions come off the back of someone in the crowd saying something, he should not be playing.

You can't be an AFL footballer without a thick skin

well if you go on twitter, its not robbo syaing he has hurt his foot it was some guy tweeting Robbo, then you also read apparently a collingwood fan yelled out go back to hospital.

Look I don't stand for personal abuse like that but maybe Mitch needs to miss a few matches, if he isnt emotionally and mentally ready. CEfLHV1UkAAy8IM.jpg

Don't think we will ever really know under what circumstances Clark left Melbourne.

All I know is that when he did play for us he gave it everything.

Hope he is alright!

Mitch Clark was not injured last night. He had a moment and Chris Scott's handling was superb. Clark needs understanding and support. Tweet from Robbo

If that is the case I think it shows that journos are so eager for a headline that they don't care who they climb over to get it

He sounds like an absolute basket case mentally.

Seems pretty clear to me he isn't ready or in the right frame of mind to be playing AFL if one sledge can break him down like this.

nah, he probably just felt all nostalgic playing on our home ground and realising what he was missing out on

yeah, perhaps returning to football was not such a good idea

seems leaving us for a change of scene for his mental well being has not actually fixed anything.

irony is he probably would not be getting sledged as much if he had stayed at Melbourne

This latest episode is very disturbing, to see a man emotionally suffering like that is very confronting.

The AFL love sentiment. That photo of Chris Scott and Mitch is going to become part of AFL folklore.

I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing but if the idea of going to Geelong would mean that he wouldn't be in the spotlight, this current approach and management is not working. The attention is going to escalate further.

Football aside - I hope he and his family make wise choices from here.

I heard the start of SEN and they were talking about it. They said no collingwood player sledged him, there was no fans that sledged him and dermie said he just got into the rooms shortly after the song and someone said where is Mitch and Dermie said there he is, he is standing over there with his mates laughing. But if he needs time out he should take it.

On a side note there is a video of eddie demonstrating how to kick the footy. Obviously a reference to Clokes shocking miss in the final quarter. which for a player like him he has no excuse for missing.

It looks like those who thought Clark was faking it will have to reconsider (unless they are Republicans from Texas, in which case the recent news indicates they would believe any ridiculous conspiracy theory).

9th might be a trifle ambitious for the Tigers - their next 4 ... vs Coll, @ Port, vs Ess, @ Freo.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
