Changes for Next Week

Recommended Posts

Crikey, you should do the MFC website weekly medical reports, including images of the scans. Glad you don't support the Cats, otherwise James Kelly's injury might be rather delicate to report on.

I think Stu may have a similar injury. But it's been lingering for several years.

It was actually today. And what does loyalty have to do with being dropped due to poor form?

So you would drop one of our most skilful players, you jumped off that ship pretty quickly...

OUT: McKenzie, Salem (concussion)

IN: Riley, Fitzy

Fitzy to play on Tippett and maybe some backup ruck.

Grimes and Watts get one more week I think, let's not be too reactionary as our coach won't.

Going by our fitness manager's assessment Viney and Jetta won't be ready, and you'd think Dawes would be touch and go.

Seriously Stuie, don't ever consider going into coaching.

You expect Fitzy in his first game for the year to do some sort of job on one of the biggest power forwards in the game.

That's just as bad as debuting Watts on QB ..

Keep up with Casey at all pal? But yeah let's put guys who are undersized on the "biggest" power forward.

No because there are no Kurt Tippet types playing VFL, Jesse Hogan would be a better option to play on Tippet than Fitzpatrick.

Didnt see the game, haven't had time to read gameday thread yet so serious question.....JKH, what happened?

To my eye JKH consistently gets caught by trying to do too much and doesn't seem to take the easier option. He. as a result. turns it over and burns his team mates.

I understand he's young and his mistakes come from enthusiasm but I feel he needs a longer apprenticeship at Casey.

A lot like Jones and Tyson oh wait a minute, the only reason they get caught is that they are not "Fleet of Foot" or built like the Fyfe Brick shizen!

Houston we have a problem!

I do. Footscray resting ruckmen in Campbell and Minson kicked 5 on Fitzpatrick last week.

I was at that game, he had a poor week, but he didn't have 5 kicked on him. Has been amongst the best pretty much every other week since moving back.

Wached the first half of the Casey game. and now half way through 3rd qtr.

I am all for bringing Fitzy in as he has impressed me down back but who do we drop for him? You would have to go tall for tall.

Get rid of McKenzie please.. I would bring Riley in for him. The guy is a nutter around the stoppages!

I wish Toumpas continued his good form from the first half. He really was BOG for the 1st QTRS of the game. Now gonna watch why he went missing.

Dawes in for Watts.

I am pretty concerned about the match up for Tippett, pretty confident with Tommy Mac being able to stop Buddy though

How far away is Viney?

He's done three of his four weeks they said for the fibula crack.

Surprise inclusion?

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
