Reckon bernie might get looked at for a couple of bumps?

Start brayshaw on the field and swap frost for michie or grimes

I'm sorry to break my self imposed ban on bashing of a very skilled player but Jack Watts can't be allowed to play next week, He again displayed his recent trend of dropping absolute sitters (twice!) that cosy us goals and momentum, as well as being embarrassingly soft on occasions.

Softest player the competition has ever seen. I would hate to play it's a soft [censored] like that.

OUT: Frost

IN: Pedersen

Let's reward our team's good efforts this week by setting this as our base team. You want in? Earn it in the VFL.

Forgot about Pedersen as the forward/2nd ruck option. How's he been going at Casey ? He does make us a bit top heavy up forward though not as mobile as Frost. If Michie plays well at Casey he is next in line

We still need run and speed. Particularly in a substitute if we're hoping they get through to 3/4 time to make an impact.

Yet I don't want to add Toumpas unless they are confident it will be a real Toumpas. Confident. Skilled. Speedy. Hard at it.

Would love to drop Watts. Maybe the sub role? But if we don't play a 2nd ruck we need someone who can draw the ball. Notice I didn't say take a mark. I think he stays. But if Roos, Jones or anyone else gets the question about his play this week they better not sugar coat the answer.

So someone in for Frost. I agree it's worth the risk of Dawes rucking. Don't mind the Watts rucking idea either.

Yeah Michie's probably the frontrunner for the spot. But I want to see reports that he's really impacting the game and running!!! Otherwise Matt Jones, Roh Bail, James Harmes or even Billy Stretch in as the sub. Why not?

Tomorrow arvo at Casey Fields shapes as crucial. There are 4 or 5 'possibles' but who will put their hand up? A perfect opportunity for someone who wants it badly enough to make the most of this opportunity. I'll be watching with interest.

Edit: punctuation

6-day turnaround. After a hard slog in the wet. And after 2 straight interstate trips. Will this be a factor?

Frost out. Pederson in if needed.

Fresh legs, in order of preference: Michie, Toumpas, Grimes

In the gun: Dawes

Watts had an absolute shocker today but should stay. He was good against the Suns and normally plays his best against Richmond.

Canberra and Adelaide. 1 hour flights. Interstate means little to me.

Richmond are on a shorter turn around and coming back from Queensland. Any chance it will be 35 up there tonight?

Unless guys are sore and need a full rest I'll take those who played today over those who will play VFL tomorrow.

Can't go in with just 1 ruckman. What happens with Jamar gets injured?

Frost out, means we have to bring in another tall who can contest in the middle. I suppose it comes down to form. Gawn? Pederson? No answer is perfect, as all the talls at Casey are known for their ability to be a complete liability when not rucking. Pederson is probably the most versatile of the lot.

I'd bring in Pederson, play him down back, take Howe forward, and potentially drop Howe for another mid like Michie.

We need more legs in the middle.

LOL. Less than 0% of Jetta getting dropped. Seriously!

I can't even deal with this. Seriously. Can you find the footage. All I saw from Jetta was him keeping Betts to 1 goal and winning a heap of contested possessions.

Are you one of the clowns who think Jetta took a dive in the first game?

Kent???? For Michie. Laughable. Yeah he misses some chances. But seriously. He's not going anywhere.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
