Jaeger O'meara is a really interesting one, lots of talk that he is pretty keen on moving to Melbourne and one of the big reasons i am hearing is he and others don't have a lot of confidence in the Suns medical department and feels a Melbourne team would be a better option in terms of getting past his injury and having a rewarding career.

pretty significant risk/reward factor here, he is in my opinion in the top few most talented young midfielders in the comp, and if he were to get fit and stay fit he would significantly improve our side, and his injury means we potentially might be able to land him without selling the farm.

I personally don't feel we are in the position to take a risk like this just yet, and Dion Prestia is a much safer target, but it will be really interesting to see what happens with him, i think he'll end up at one of the big Melbourne clubs, Collingwood or Richmond maybe.

They don't have good medical practices in NSW, SA or the WA, then?  Seems like a pretty flimsy reason regardless of what's happened up there.

I'm sure it's not the only reason, but if he was set on coming to Melbourne, which is what was being talked about for a while it would become a consideration that the quality of the medical staff would have a bearing on his ability to get and stay fit.

Still can't get my head why players would want to go to a club with the culture of only just wanting to scrap through to the finals by picking up plodders and keeping fan satisfied.. Talking about Richmond that it..

you wouldn't be impressed if you were an Alex Rance for example and had just signed a long term contract with that club who was no doubt selling you the idea of having a Hawthorn-like era to get you over the line.

There's a little bit of talk that the other player picked up in O'Meara's mini draft may not be all that happy at Adelaide.

Brad Crouch worth an enquiry?

Crouch may be gettable by Vic clubs, Adelaide working hard to re-sign him (OOC at season's end), as well as trying hard to work on Hurley.

This was getting around before Crouch was dropped.  I wonder whether he's not gelling well with the new coach. Did miss games due to poor discipline earlier this season.

No one who is talented and serious about success would entertain coming to Melbourne.

We remain as much of a joke as we were pre-Roos.

Prestia is more likely to go to Essendon than he is to come to Melbourne.

Ur head is in ur azzzzz!!

KB on SEN saying Richmond are chasing Prestia and Hurley hard.

We should go halves with them!

We will get one of them then.  No way are Mahoney, Goodwin, PJ and Roosy going to be trumped by Ninthmond

Yes read this morning about the Tigers trying to entice Prestia. Personally I feel that if we can land both him and Hurley, then we can settle down to booking a place to host our Premiership Dinner in 2017. Whatever it takes: end of recruiting and list development phase and start of Premiership campaign and the planning for the next Melbourne Dynasty!

Personally if they were both fit I'd take Jaeger over Prestia as he suits our needs more.  We need outside speed and polish.  We have a lot of good strong inside mids.

Dion Prestia isn't dumb enough to go Richmond. No good player is dumb enough to go there because they all see their awful list profile.

Until they realise how far off a premiership they are and go for a total rebuild, they will tread water.

Prestia is a better outside player than O'Meara. His pace is better too.
