Yes he was an A grader, much more so than his "mate" Scully. He is also a leader and a top bloke , and we don't have a surplus of leaders at the club

Sorry to disappoint you but Trengove was never an A grade player. He showed promise & that dangerous word potential.

I just got a message from my sister with photo showing our Jack Trengove in Singapore at the Australian International School today with my great niece. The local teacher is trying to recruit the Aussie kids to MFC apparently. But interesting that Jack is in Singapore. Wonder why?

My sister is trying but is not confident that she can convince the grand kids to follow MFC, generation naught tends to follow winners, not big on loyalty or tradition apparently. Now that I think about it, that is pretty smart thinking.

Fact? Guess?? Hope????

Source???

I would live to see it by the way.

I really hope there is fairytale ending for him and the club given all the misfortunes he and the club have shared.

Really happy with the extension!

Well done to Jack and well done to the MFC for sticking with a loyal servant of the club.

They must believe he can make it given the contract.

We have plenty to delist at season end anyway so well worth the risk

Good stuff Trenners, let's hope the foot continues to heal and you come back better and stronger than ever.

We shall see. He's given himself the opportunity to come back with less pressure which is in and of itself a big advantage.

He's not played footy for some time, and good footy for some time before that.

It's the detail that makes this such a compelling argument...

Without giving too much away, all I'll say is I quoted him and his name starts with Picket and ends with Fence.

Trenners to start running in two months.

He might get a run in the prelim final.

Mate just go away.

Great news! Hope he is back on the park and back in form first thing in 2016. Well done to the club too, for looking after our own.

Trenners has more heart in him than 95% of the players in the AFL.

I can't wait for him to come back stronger than ever, I have no doubt he will be able to, considering how he goes about it.

I am surprised when I hear people writing him off. I refuse to lose faith in players who struggle with injury, even if they come back and struggle for a year or two.

Aaron Ramsey is a case in point.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
