Footballers then only trained Tues and Thurs.....They had full time jobs

The coach was in charge of every thing to do with fitness and only had an assistant if he was lucky

The game was a lot slower and players played in position

Watson was still at school....and they were allowed to do goal kicking practise without some one telling them that they can't because it will cause muscle overload

and they hit the grog with regularity like normal young aussie men do! Not really allowed if you're a footy player anymore!

im working like a mad man trying to get done, drop the kid home and get back into city by 5. gotta have a beer before the game

but i still manage to get on here and post a fairly pointless remark

Gonna see the Dees play! should get a seat on the fence and just watch Hogan all game. (not in a creepy way)

There is a World Cup Semi Final on today.

I know what i will be watching.

This is an Essendon Home game. I will never have anything to do with Essendrug when they have a potential to make money. They are the only club to make money out of that Corporate Slag Heap.

It'll be live on the AFL website, not the MFC one.

EDIT: Live on AFL website if you have a premium account/subscription

I spoke to him the other day, he is very optimistic about returning, needs to get through next surgeon's meeting and then he can take a 'step' forward again, still got a career to look forward to if the foot behaves

To be fair I don't think he was ever going to say "My foots [censored] and I'm never going to play again."

I'll be there getting sloshed for one of two reasons.

1. To make the celebration of a 100-point-plus win all the more exciting and fun.

or

2. To help feed the depression if they lose, because I love pain.

praha, i commend you on point 1. however, on point 2, alcohol and depression do not go. i know all about it.

Got that feeling we will lose...

Good thing I won't get to start watching it until 7-7:15 so if it's looking bad I'll fast forward.

Or turn it off.

On my way to Etihad now.Looking forward to seeing the Demons give the Bombers a good thashing.

Right at the end of training when the forwards were practising goal kicking Garlett speared a ball across behind the goals and right in to JKH's right hamstring/glute. He jokingly apologised and other players had a laugh, but come his turn to kick JKH shanked a couple of shots and clearly looked uncomfortable before walking off.

I didn't want to alarm anyone if he was going to be fine anyway but now he's out of the side I'd like to give some explanation for mystery injury of the week.

Also Garlett's a freaking moron and our players are stupid. But we knew all of that.

Sounds like a minor corky, he'll be right I suggest.

Just hope he didn't do it on purpose. "I'm the only small forward in this team!".

Greetings from Tyabb. Not gunna get there now and step son..bomber nut...was offering a nice seat in box too :((

Tyranny of distance .

Im hoping we play today like we intent to go on with for rest of season 4 quarters of fiar dinkum effort, no foot off the pedal and when suitable opposition fronts...out them to the sword.

No mucking around Melbourne, time to play real footy for keeps.

Go Dees

60 pts our way ;)

Anyone know why Pedo isn't playing. I would have thought given Dawes is out Rd 1, that Pedo would need the game time.....

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
