I find it amusing when clubs like Carlton say that we will trade Gartlett out but then I hear from their supporters he is worth a 2nd rounder.

It's a bit like us with Blease - we will facilitate a trade for him - we can't ask anything unrealistic for him as clubs know we are going to delist him.

Cooney's knees problems are well publicised - even by his own club - the only use he is, is if we get injuries to players ( beside knees) - we can use him for spare parts.

Adam Conney and pick 5 for pick 2 and 3 has been offered by the dogies.

An old injury prone ex blown low winner who has 2 year left in him for 2 10 year players.

No thanks

are you kidding?

was this a real offer or some fb/forum dreamer?

source?

hell "id throw Blease in with pick 23 for Garlett and 28 if that was the likely scenario. !!

The likes of Blease/Tapscott/Evans and a host of others would be sweeteners to deals - nothing more.

No, thanks. I'd prefer to keep pick 3 than get rid of one of our list cloggers and gain a mediocre opposition player.

Disagree on Hrovat. Reckon he's a good young player. But can't say I blame anyone for wanting to keep 2 & 3.

I'm cool to trade both picks, in fact, I hope we do. I just want to net something a bit better than Hrovat. : )

Pretty sure your source for this was a 'suggestion' on BigFooty, and, if so, the suggestion was for pick 2 OR 3, not both.

Still, a hilarious thought. Cooney has no value whatsoever anymore.

I read it the afl website in the trade radio part.

name being thrown around a lot is Nathan Hrovat

the kid is 174 centimeters according to footywire

Hed wanna be bloody good if we are moving down 3 places at the top end of the draft for a midget

I honestly just don't rate Hrovat enough for him to be the catalyst for this trade, but struggle to think who else they'd offer.

Clay Smith? Underwhelmed.

Wallis likewise, and when would a club ever trade a father-son?

Not only father/son but also legend grandfather/grandson - one J Kennedy.

LOL, Bulldogs fans won't even entertain a trade where we give them pick 3 in exchange for one of their young midfielders, and they keep pick 6.

Apparently the likes of Stringer or Macrae are worth picks 2 & 3. More delusional than Colonwood.

Yeah, someone else said this - but the difference is that JPK wasn't getting a game and wanted to go, while Hawthorn weren't willing to match Sydney's offer and reluctantly traded him.

Hawthorn didn't offer him up in an effort to get a higher draft pick to get a KPF.

Not comparing apples with apples here.

Dogs supporters be like pick 3 and jones for 6. Final offer

I'm warming to hrovat and 6 for 3. I feel he slid in his draft year and was a good clearance player for metro. Reasonably good disposal eff. Only knock is his height and would a centre bounce of hrovat and viney be too short

Wow....the Kennel must stink or something !! :o

Particularly, as Roos has flagged multiple times the interest (and preference) he has for bigger, taller bodied mids.

Griffen just walked out of the Kennel.

Big things happening there.

Didn't he just sign a 1 year contract extension?

As in, a few weeks ago?

I wouldn't downgrade for Hrovat.

They'd give us Hrovat because he's down the pecking order. Yeah I know, Dom Tyson, Hrovat is no Tyson.

[censored] the Bulldogs.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
