You think I'm basing my view on one game?

Okay.

No, I don't think you are seeing his upside.

A few, not saying you, see him as another Blease. Because he is fast and has red hair it doesn't make him Blease. For a start he keeps his feet and for another he seems to have decent tank and will defend.

I see his upside, I just give more weight to his downside, which you don't see as a downside.

I'd take him if we got him very, very cheap, which isn't going to happen.

Not now it's not, and probably not earlier either as I think Sydney know what they have.

Additionally, the last time a side had the week off in the finals but lost the Preliminary final was Adelaide in 2006. Doesn't bode well for Port...

One of the reasons why I think the finals system needs a restructure.

That's is carp. FMD one of the reasons the finals needs a restructure is because the home side with a week off and 6 goals up early in the third term couldn't win once a side with the best midfield in the comp and 3 once in a generation midfielders started to get on top and ran over the top of them

Yes great logic in your argument.

Lets just leave the finals alone there are far bigger issues in the game.

I wouldn't be totally opposed to a week's break before the PF.

Top four would still get an advantage with the double chance and would all but totally rule out complaints over one side getting a week off.

It would however mean that the winner of a QF gets TWO weeks off, which could almost be a disadvantage if they are too cold going into a PF.

Overall am happy with the way it is.

Just showed the PA faithful marching to G. Thought I had the wrong channel on for a sec and was watching The Walking Dead, is there a supporter base more feral?

Atmosphere is electric give hawks supporters a run for their money in terms of how loud they are!

Go power!

Good qtr of footy by Port. Didn't impact the score enough. Need to be 6-8 goals up at half time. LOVE to see Hawks knocked out this week.

I think if PA have a 2-3 goal lead at 3/4 time, they will be able to outrun Hawthorn. I also would love to see those arrogant Hawks knocked out.

These umpires don't need to worry about what they are doing next week, won't be umpiring the grand final they have been shocking just gifting the Hawks back into the game

One thing I've noticed about Port Adelaide that we don't do is they shepherd extremely well for each other, as well as running both ways HARD all game.

Those two things are purely effort and fitness.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
