Garland is a big issue. I know he is coming back from injury but his fumbling, poor decision making and touch are costing us.

It isn't a case of we are playing one down, he is contributing to the opposition.

He is a much better player but there has to be a time when he needs to back and find touch.

Nicho - Shouldn't have played

Possessions mean absolutely nothing when you continue to butcher it constantly like Garland and Bail did today.

SEN commentators gave Frawley the 3 votes? I didn't see the game and only listened to the last half but all agreed Chip was the most influential player.

That's because so many on here are letting his contractual situation completely colour their views regarding his play. Having said that he did make some mistakes and I didn't think he should have got the 3 votes.

Agreed. Although there is no way he was top 3 today in any way shape or form. A few of his clangers were so so costly i'm still sore from them, definitely wasn't the only one who wasn't clean with the footy today though.

Palmed to Footscray.

I thought Russian had a pretty handy game but you're right. There were a couple where he beat Minson & then palmed the ball straight to him. Why would you bother ?

M. Jones? Watch the replay?

Your post is great because of you know, obviously terrible today.

I was at the game and I had Frawley clearly BOG. Liam Jones had 1 possession and was subbed off at 3/4 time. He absolutely dominated them in the defensive 50. As good as he's been presenting as a lead-up forward his real position if Full Back and he showed today that he is still AA quality.

You can't give BOG to a guy who regularly butchers the ball and somehow turns our advantage to a 50/50 with horrible execution.

Liam Jones is cold, cold, cold, hot, cold anyway; so keeping Jones quiet has been simple for most of the year.

For Frawley's sake, I hope he has his suitors conned as well as 70% of us MFC supporters. He is fool's gold.

Thats the same Jones who was the probably the reason the Dogs got over the line against Collingwood 2 weeks ago ?

And as for turning advantage into 50/50's - as opposed to a lot of what I saw yesterday - where we turned advantage into disadvantage.

He wasn't in my opinion BOG but we have a lot more footballers that I am scratching my head over other than Frawley.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
