It's official... tweeted afew minutes ago by the MFC. Signed on until the end of season 2017.

Im cool either way with the signing of JH.

I found it interesting what dunstall and healy said about him the other night.

It sort of renewed my interest in the current welfare of JH.

Glad hes onboard.

An outstanding commitment by Jesse .............. an outstanding investment by the Melbourne Football Club. Our star is most definitely on the rise, in every sense of the word.

Edit: I spelled his name wrong. Better not do that on Demonland!

Just got off the phone to my best mate who has spoken to Jesse today, she said you can't wipe the smile off his face, absolutely stoked he is staying another couple of years

Can confirm there has been really strong interest from not just west coast and Freo but other clubs as well but Jesse knows how much we have invested in him and he's got some really good mates here in Jack viney Jimmy toumpas and Dean Kent

He's in for a significant pay rise but I wasn't told an exact figure and also Jesse is hoping to play against the lions but the club may make himwait an extra week, he's really working hard to get back asap

You little Ripper - no need to rush him back ..... but wouldn't it be great if he plays against Lions, WC,GWS and North !! 3 or 4 wins at the tail end of this season would invigorate the whole football department to make bigger in roads and attack the preseason with some real gusto and optimism!!

Have to love the dream

I was impressed when Dunstall said Hogan was impressive. If he thinks that there is def something there.

Same, after all the normal Bs we hear from experts, every now and then you know when Dunstall is serious.

This was one of those times.

Dunstall is a really good footy man - articulate and has a brain

just quietly....

am pretty stoked :)

The club gets so many slaps in the face and heres a young lad, obviously talented who WANTS to be part of the resurgence.

Attitude is a lot in anything and that sort of outlook says a lot about where we're heading.

and Im still looking forward to his first game !!

We all said similar things when Trengove re-signed, look how that turned out !

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

The Demons head back to Melbourne after an embarrassing loss to the Dockers to take on the Magpies at the MCG on Kings Birthday. With a calf injury to Lachie Hunter and Jacob van Rooyen possibly returning from injury who comes in and who goes out?
