What crap. Cats " WILL" talk to "HIM" after the season is over. Oh, of course, they have been talking to his manager up till now.

Rivers has been talking to him all year....

Just sayin...

Thing is he will try his arse off at his new club, that's what makes it worse.

And I hope he fails big time. Like Scully.

NOt because I am bitter but because I want FAs to stop thinking the grass is greener.

And how [censored] ironic that one of the best teams of the last decade will have two of Melbourne's key defenders. If anyone doubts we need midfielders that alone should convince you.

I believe that Chip will be best man at Rivers up coming wedding so I would be surprised if they haven't been talking to each other

I have heard the Suns are willing to offer above the 500k so it will be interesting to see if he would be willing to take unders to join Rivers at Geelong.

I think if you're looking at playing consistant finals in the future, best chance of premierships and a good pay packet to go with it I would be heading to the Suns over Geelong or Hawthorn

He'll be be heading down the surf coast area, make no mistake.

A good country boy, and the cattery is about as close as you'll get to country life.

His heart is no longer bleeding red & blue.

When he moves to Geelong he will win more games in 2 seasons than he has won at Melbourne in his career.

we'll get pick 3 to go with our pick 2. Win Win all round.

He tells the club tomorrow unless he did it last night.

As I said MONTHS ago my word was that he is a signed and sealed CAT Make no mistake!

If we have any evidence of this we should demand the AFL investigate and have the Cats nailed to the wall for it.

I'm sure we will miss him to some degree but my level of care factor for him after his pathetic arm waving, slow jogging, disinterested year is zero.

Hopefully we get band 1 and turn it into a winning trade/pick scenario.

Myself and plenty of other MFC diehards will not miss him.

When will people realise that 'honourable servants' of this club are not the ones who are going to drag us out of this black hole.

Especially those who are supposed leaders.

We will continue to be second rate until we have a core group of leaders who share the same philosophies and mindset as players like Jones, Cross and Dawes and have the talent, professionalism and work ethic to match.

Frawley has the consciousness of a minnow and those who believe he is any sort of 'loss' to this club still have no idea the kind of club culture we are searching for to improve.

And no I don't care what Paul Roos' spits out to the media in regards to the situation. He'd know very well that we're much much better off with the compo pick.

Bring on the new breed.

Players who never won a flag but never stopped putting in for their clubs.

You can take it or leave it whether he should be there.

"Players who never won a flag but never stopped putting in for their clubs." How you could apply the bold section to Ablett senior is beyond me.

Regardless of Dawes' behaviour last night, he is still 10 times the leader Frawley will ever be.

Not just last night 'steve', I don't think he gives us anywhere near enough on the ground. I'm also not happy about him getting stuck into JKH about burning him and then doing the same thing himself on numerous occasions.

I don't want Frawley next year.

He typifies everything that is wrong eith out culture. His form is inconsistent. He will require overspending.

If we got no compensation, I think I'd still hold the same view.

I'm actually looking forward to removing one of the key problems with this side.

Can we please replace his position on the demonland banner now, nauseated every time I see him there.

We should have a vote of who to replace him with. My vote is Jetta

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
