I agree with your order except I'd give 1 point to Viney instead Jetta.

6. Tyson (really, 3 1/2 quarters of outstanding footy and you guys don't have him for 6?)

5. Dunn (strong down back)

4. N. Jones (keeps on going)

3. Pederson (I was wrong)

2. Jetta (I was wrong mach 2)

1. Cross (impact on Polec)

Go back and watch his disposal in the first quarter and then decide if he still rates six. I still love the way he goes about it though and look forward to him going head-to-head with Pendles next week, unless he cops Macaffer.

My votes:

6 Dunn

5 Pedo

4 Tyson

3 Cross

2 Jetta

1 N.Jones

Just finished watching it was at the U/18'S & WAFL all day so missed the live telecast, so knew the result but my god we are a totally different team and footy is enjoyable again

6. Tyson faded late but most of our boys did

5. Jetta have always liked the kid and did another quality job today

4. Cross like Jetta did a fantastic job for us and got the better of Polac

3. N Jones just maintains the same standards week in week out

2. Pedersen surely the most improved player on our list attacking marking contests and just full of confidence looks to be enjoying his footy

1. Dunn great job on Schulz, bad mistake late but gets the vote for his game over 4 quarters

Can't vote as I didn't see the game but a couple of observations.

Who would have imagined 12 months ago that Dunn and Pedersen would be in the team let alone regularly being named in our better players. I know it has been mentioned before, but what an amazing transformation. A credit to all involved.

You might be adding Jetta to that list soon. He's looked really good the last few games he's played. He's shut down two of the best small forwards in the game in Betts and Wingard. Someone in another thread suggested he's on track for AA, and if he keeps this up they could be right.

Jonesy apparently a victim of his own standards judging by some votes. Led the disposals and the clearances. In the top 6 on the ground I would've thought.

Some didn't give Tyson a vote after 30 touches and two goals, obviously BOG

Dunn was very good for us 12mths ago. A lot of posters seem to forget from mid 2012 Dunn has been one of our most reliable. Before that, a liability, but lets not change history. Pedo, well, ill agree with you on that one.

Statistically Dunn was the best 1-1 defender in the league last season.

6. Cross. His job on Polec was brilliant as Polec has been in great form of late. Furthermore, he took some super important grabs around the ground.

5. Pederson. Big strong marking who loves throwing his weight around. Some great bumps and som crunching tackles. Great job

4. Tyson. Couple shanks cost him the 6 but how good is this kid going to be!

3. N Jones. Just another truck load of clearances, posseys and tackles. Typical Jonesy effort but doesn't stand out as much noting he is no longer surrounded by witches hats for team mates. Still, this man is a star.

2. Dunn. Really enjoy getting on here week after week saying how wrong I was about the boy. Good job

1. Jamar. I think our team walks taller when he is out there and helps out our mids so much.

Jamar is probably lucky over Jetta really only sneaking in after smacking out Lobbe,

maybe I should have said at the start of 2013 season re Dunn.

And yes Jetta should be added too. Roos held faith while many of us had him on the scrap heap. He has claimed some good scalps, and had Wingard's until Schultz finished him off and stole Jetta's thunder

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
