Dermie giving no credit to Melbourne again. Port have played like millionaires.

Grimes has no brain stupid footballer sub him !

He is lacking intensity both at the ball and when he has the ball. A real liability today unless he can switch on.

Jack Grimes!!! How can u be so poor with decisions??? Its not even under pressure. He should not be captain.

Posted

Grimes, what an absolute liability. Right at the end there, I said tongue in cheek watch Grimes turn this into another Port goal... and he nearly bloody did!

Lucky we have Salem, Tyson and The Pedotrain playing like absolute legends.

The only way I could've been happier with that quarter was if a certain co-captain hadn't turned over a simple kick. I really would've liked us to press the momentum right at the end as well but I understand they wanted to preserve the score line. It really could've been all squared at half time though!

Massive man crush on Salem and Tyson!

Salem - class and coolness under pressure. THe ability to hit up that kick and keep his cool, we have something special here.

Matty Jones playing like he's possessed.

He's been brilliant. Again.

Can you imagine how much better we'd be as a team without Terlich and Grimes constantly making idiotic mistakes? We'd easily be in front by now.

Far out. Impressive effort by the other 16 to pick up the slack.

Grimes decision making and disposal is pathetic. he is constantly delivering the ball to the opposition or to players under pressure. not good enough. needs to lift big time. as for the rest of the team well done, we have a chance if we can just eliminate these stupid turnovers aka Grimes and Terlich's we have a chance. JHK needs to think a bit more about what he is doing we had momentum and the wind and we kicked it back and forth until we turned it over. Need to go down the line if in doubt, trust our guys will fight for it or try to get it out of bounds so we can reset.

The boys are playing as a team. Loving Matt Jones today and some very clever plays by Watts, Salem and Bail.

Pedo also having another strong game

Unbelievable half from us. Hard to see how I can walk away from this match disappointed.

Whatever happens, and I expect us to lose, we can be so proud of this effort.

Roos too did well to adjust our set up after quarter time.

We still make silly decisions and turn it over, but the midfield is an 800% improvement on last year, as is the effort and intensity.

Keep it going in the second half and we can all be incredibly happy.

I'm glad the Grimes reality has finally caught on.

Dumbest bloke we've had on the field in some time. He'd be last picked for mine.

Not to mentioned he's now even turned timid at the contest, always slowing down before he gets to the ball.

I love watching this team, yet Grimes is infuriating me and dominating my thoughts.

...anyway... The Jetta. Most improved? Giving everyone's love child a bath.

Pedo. Most improved? Marks everything.

Dunn. Most improved? Mr reliable.

See the theme here?

Last year this game would have been over 40 minutes ago, this year we fight like dogs.

Would be in front had they not gotten 2 BS goals.

Won't be surprised if we fall off in the last half. But I won't be surprised if we win either.

Roos is some bloke.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
