That song is gold. Bieber is a [censored], but that track is electronic pop gold. Chvrches' cover is even better.

Haha what about Bugg picking Taylor Swift too.... I think maybe the boys use this as a bit of a prank

Taylor Swift's latest album also awesome. There's a chance that they actually just think it's good music. If you like 80's synthpop, that album and Bieber's are ballpark synthpop.

Yeah they have, but it could have been a blow up doll disguised as one of them.

How would you tell?

How is young Angus going?

Lets try and get this thread back on the straight line..

He is named for Casey this weekend which is awsome. Hopefully he gets through unscathed.

Great news, just for this game Gus, DO NOT put your head over the ball and never turn your back to it either!

Thought he played his best game for the season yesterday. The speed caught up with him a few times on the outside, but he was great in close.

23 possessions and a team leading 7 clearances.  Welcome back Angus.

He was a key reason we were on top at quarter time. He dropped off as the game went on and he got caught unaware a few times but was a lot better than credited by some.

Supports what I thought I saw then. ;) Didn't realise how many clearances he'd won. That's elite.

Slightly over rated IMO.  Will be a soldier and a very good to good player, but won't reach elite status. He doesn't have one area in his game that is special. Not fast, disposals are ok/good, not a great mark for a tallish mid, not a goal kicker, therefore he is a midfielder only. One dimensional.

I was surprised by his lack of awareness yesterday. At times he had 5 St Kilda players chasing/around him and he was oblivious and was caught easily. I only hope this means he is adjusting to AFL level after a lengthy break.

And you can tell that after such an interrupted second season, after such a terrific first season? Posts like this are ridiculous. Doesn't have one area that's elite? 7 clearances yesterday. In his first game back in 2 months. That's without mentioning his hands in close or his ability to dispose both sides of his body. Go and have a green tea and come back at the end of next year.

He played very well mostly as a forward last year. Doesn't kick a lot of goals but did create more than a few both with and without the ball. His tackling was as good as I've seen in a first year kid last year. He's a very good clearance player and I'd love to get him kicking on his left more, particularly out of stoppages.

He was caught a few times yesterday and was king of the hospital handball, but the Saints do play super fast on Etihad and the team were asleep.

I don't think he'll be elite either, but if he's very good then the line between that and elite starts to blur and if you pack a team - particularly a midfield - with enough very good players you'll have a great team and at least one of the players will be credited elite even if it's wrong!

Makes the decision to play him early in the year even more baffling, especially since he hadn't had a full preseason.

I remember watching him over summer often training with Dom in the rehab group and Dom was far fitter than him and Gus did look a bit heavy. We never got an explanation of what injury he had but he clearly hadn't done a lot of preseason.

The positive is that the club went through the problems professionally, found the issue and sorted it.

Goodwin doesn't mind going public and I don't hate that either.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
