Jack Watts and Jeremy Howe.

These two need to both be dropped to Casey this week, no exceptions.

They have no confidence, absolutely no defensive pressure (Jack Watts tackling is pathetic) take a leaf out of the first gamer Salem attacking the player, they fade in and out of games, rarely seen in some Qtrs .

They do no present when playing forward and they never push up to make an option.

Paul Roos needs to make a stand and Send them to Casey if this club is to go anywhere.

In a team so devoid of marking options and players with natural goal sense, I don't think we can afford to drop Howe, although he's obviously down on confidence.

Personally, I'd feel much more confident with Howe one out in our 50 than fumbly Frawley, for some reason Roos doesn't put him down there much these days.

Agree with Watts though. It's embarrassing if he gets another game, effort must be a non-negotiable in our team and there ain't none from him.

Same with Watts. I'm not joking. I'm shattered by him, as I have fought for him against all doubters I came across since day one. But he just doesn't care for footy or his team mates.

Howe is a waste of space, we should have traded him when we had the chance to get something decent back.

Watts is just a waste of talent. I can't remember a professional footballer ever to be so scared to take the game on or seek physical contact. Can't believe we just contracted him for what 3, 4 years?

Tim Membrey Sydney swans player playing in the 2nds. Very similar player to Watts and Howe 189cm forward who has kicked bags of goals last year in the NEAFL and has kicked 12 goals in 5 games this year.

Longmire refuses to play him as he has no defensive aspect of his game. He has all the talent in the world, just like these two but has to work and work at gaining his debut, not like these getting handed game after game thinking it is given and talent alone will get you through.

Something to think about have a look at him if he haven't already heard of him.

2 blokes with more talent than 90 percent of league level footballers - both need a good long hard look at themselves and find a way through the absolute garbage they are dishing up - not knowing them as people I wouldn't have a clue as to how the rocket up their backsides needs to happen but it does need to happen. If it's a stint in 2's great, if it's the green vest then so be it, if it's the Robert Walls style ring of fire or boxing sessions with mike Tyson I don't care. Roos needs to find whatever the spark is to get these 2 going

I love Terls because he tries. Yes, he has pretty ordinary kicking and not the best of skill, but he tries his best week in and week out, which is why he gets games.

Watts should be renamed Volts - all potential but no intrinsic energy or power.

Maybe he will find the necessary Amps with a few weeks at Casey - hope so but currently just a flat battery.

Watts round 1 was solid and looked like he was up for a big year. Looks nothing like that now.

Howe and Watts are young and have been relatively injury free so no excuses on the physical side.

When Roos joined, his promise to players was to help each one become the best he can be. But crikey they need to put in the game day work. I liked the spray that Howe and Watts got at 3/4 time. Pity they didn't respond. Like someone said in another thread, do we have a sports psychologist? It worked in cricket for Daivd Warner.

Howe and Watts can no longer blame coaches and their game plans. Roos is giving them every chance to prove themselves. I suspect the coaches/team leaders patience will run out soon and the kid gloves will come off.

Don't waste your talent guys and eventually leave footy as unfulfilled underachievers, it will forever haunt you. Flashiness won't cut it anymore - prove to your teammates you deserve to be in the team, prove to us we should continue to believe in you.

this is why young players need to be trained in the basics of defensive hard yards from the start before they get a go. these guys turned into instant Hero's, before they did any work at all.

Now the truth has arrived in the form of Roos, they still don't want to go back to the beginning, to learn what they had skipped, as they had games force fed to them.

this is a part of our failing Song, where we patronise our young players in our desire for hero's; we thrust them up onto our shoulders, instead of letting them have the time to truly earn things the hard way, before we give them our everything.

We spoil them.
