In terms of poo you mean?

Well, there's the top teams, then there's the middle teams, then theres the bottom teams, then there's 50 feet of [censored] and then there's us....

Seriously though, you decided this would be a good thread? You must like punishment and reflecting on the painful truth a lot!!!

Not sure how your finger scale works btw. If Ablett/Danger/Pendles are a 10, there is another bracket of players between them and Jones - Fyfe/Rich/Deledio etc. Jones would be a 7.5-8. From there it drops to about a 5-6 for Viney (though could rise quickly). Then the rest.

As it stands, It's a mess. But alot of scope for improvement in them, individually. They didn't get drafted for no reason. For pretty much all of them, the only way is up.

As I have posted recently our midfield has no system, it doesn't work together as a team. Individually they may have a rating but as a group they rate a 3 or 4 because they are competing against well oiled clearance machines like the Hawks or The Cats. These guys hold the ball for nano seconds before it passed off by hand to another who gets it out to an outside runner, who spears a pass forward to a half forward who presents for the pass. In comparison we have MFC players battling for the ball as individuals. If they get hold of the ball and get some space don't expect anyone to lead and present. Where's Brett Ratten as mid coach when you need him?

Ratten at the hawks ... lets all thank Brian Royal for his efforts!

Much more realistic ratings, how many of our guys would get a game at other clubs, very few IMO, let alone the top 4 clubs....none !

Brian Royal had it humming along beautifully .

He only needed another five years and 5 more top ten draft picks to get it perfect.

Sadly, he was cut off too soon.

On a serious note, there is room for optimism.
Big Max, the Jacks,pickles, Jones.

A bit tough to rate Evans with that lot last year-the games he played were AFL standard.

Time for him to stop malingering on the fkn list.

If the goals get moved to the wings, Grimes will be a champ.

The crab running is actually useless-must stop.

I have considered how some youngsters may come on. I have been tough on Grimes abd Trengove as I demand more.

This is too hard to do as players like Kent, Toumpas, M Jones, Barry, Evans and Grimes either havent played enough or dont really play all that much midfield.

This time next year will be easier to do as i feel for the first time in ages our Team will have structures

You all overate Jones. Take a look at dream team points. He doesn't make it in the top 50 midfielders. For memory I think he was in the 80's.

therefore doesn't rate a 9 not even a 7. He was our best so that shows you what the rest would have rated.

How do I rate them. I don't

I think a lot of the time we were watching a very confused and hesitant football team, right around the ground.

The suspense is killing me in relation to getting an experienced mid in return for pick 2. Every time a rumour or thread starts on Demonland in relation to particluar star player form another Club, either he re-signs, is traded to another Club or the target Club denies that he is going anywhere.

You do rate them - by dream team points apparently.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
