PJ will look to renew with Webjet with no inflation - I'm told. Maintaining key relationships clearly high on his agenda.

I hope Webjet renew. Given how often their image has been at pressers with some dram or other as the main focus they deserve to have their brand associated with some more positive events, such as last weeks Roos presser (did it really happen?)

Does still seem surreal.Keep checking news sources that it actually happened.

Having watched the 2014 membership video it's clear to me that Webjet will be staying on in 2014 with a new back of jumper sponsor to be announced shortly.

My gut feeling would be if we were shopping for two new sponsors then the Webjet logo would have been taken off the jumper.

All i know is that i have a $100 Demon Shop voucher after switching my car insurance to Progressive and i want to spend it!!

I would have thought we would be contractually obligated to keep the Webjet logo visible for the term of the contract. I don't know when it's due to finish, but if we are still within the contract timeframe, we should still be promoting their brand for them.

I doubt Grimes and Trenners will be captains next year, but they're still the two most prominent figures in the promotional stuff. Wouldn't take too much out of it.

Having said that, would be great to keep them on for another year or more (Webjet, that is)

Bump!

Any news on a new sponsor?

I haven't heard a thing in regards to this since Opel disbanded.

I don't think we'll here much until our new Cheif Commercial Officer gets up and running. The club website says he starts in October, I think I heard during the Roos presser that it was the 14th.

Just read in the Age that the Tas govt sponsors the Hawks to the tune of $3mill per year. FMD. Winners are grinners.

Hardly a startling revelation Moonie. BTW I've read a few of your posts today and still remain awake - obviously I need to drink more alcohol.

Easy up Tiger. Play the ball, not the man. BTW, have you had any restraining orders for stalking? Thought so.

I was over seas about 5 years ago doing a cruise around Croatia.

One of the other guys on the cruise worked for the AFL in the marketing department. He was great value and loved talking footy, I mentioned that I was from Tasmanina and how a lot of Tasmanians dislike giving so much money to Hawthorn for football matters when the state was struggiling so much. He said he had looked at all the figures relating to the Hawks/Tassie deal and told me that Tassie was getting way more money back in the deal when you counted how many visitors the state got and how much money those tourist brought with them.

No idea how much those figures have changed now though. Im sure there would be a lot of Hawks who would have made the trip once or twice but no longer do so.

With PJ on board our sponsors will get a better go whoever they are. I know of previous sponsors that were pea-d with the lack of support and exposure. They believed we had the "take the money and run" attitude!

I just want a sponsor for the next 5 years so I don't have to keep buying new shirts.

Tell me about it. Most friends of mine are Swans supporters, they can wear a jersey from 2001 and still look up to date.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
