Swap Jamar for Adams & a pick.

Done

Fanciful. I'd be ecstatic for merely Jamar for Adams.

Some of you seem to be smoking some good stuff. Theyll want our first pick and we might be able to get something in return like their 2nd or 3rd round pick. I'd be up for if. Rate him highly. Other clubs will surely circle too though

Geelong will be chasing hard. As they always do for their local products.

God, can you imagine that? They keep rolling, Stephen Wells has been amazing for that side.

Don't know how happy Josh Caddy is playing in the VFL.

Question is "why" come to Melbourne apart from Money or for fringe players to "get a game".

Targets as at 8 June:

- Dylan Shiel (GWS) 3years $$$

- Taylor Adams (GWS) 3years $$$

Fringe:

- Maverick Weller (Suns)

- Liam Anthony (Kangas)

- Mitch Hallahan (Hawks)

- Jarryd Lyons (Crows)

- Aiden Riley (Crows)

- Matthew Jaensch (Crows)

-Shane Savage (Hawks)

No players walk out on their club into the pre-season draft... No quality young talent does anyway.

We nearly need him to though.

Jeff White 1997, Pick 1 in 1994 ro 1995 draft 1 to Freo!

white was traded for pick #2 of the 97 draft, which was on-traded to the tigers, who selected brad ottens.

Thanks for clearing that up

Yeah you would think we could trump anything the Tigers offer. Just depends if he would want to come to Melbourne. Choco may help with that if the players at GWS loved him...

My only fear is how much time will there be between when we appoint the new senior coach and trade week?

Knowing our luck, no players will want to come to Melbourne until they know who the senior coach will be.

Posted

You would think they will have that sorted by the end of September. If not then it could cause headaches come the trade/draft period. Though I'd imagine the new coach would be given most of his information regarding current players from someone like Neil Craig or one of the assistants. I really hope our next coach ends up being is a 5+ year guy as it must be difficult having new coaches and different gameplans no wonder we are so far behind the eight ball.

If Adams has $$$ in his eyes at all, he would come to Melbourne. Front load his contract, Tigers cant afford him especially if they plan to keep Martin and Conca.

Couldn't be any worse than what we have.

That doesn't mean we should accept it.

Unless you're happy to tread water in the bottom 4.

Throw the farm at Tay Adams, but I'd only offer a mid to late 1st rounder, max.

Posted

why would we get him?

I think you guys interpreted the question wrong - I think he was saying why would he choose Melbourne not why should we get a mid. (correct me if I am wrong)

The answer: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I believe we still have some room in the salary cap - we could front load his contract (like Clark). - (give him an early birthday present)

Also it would be threatening being a mid on the GWS list (so much talent)

get it done Melbourne - chances like this are once in a blue moon - I would happily give them a pick 10 and give him Davey's salary.

Didnt work with Caddy , some players actually want to win a flag.

Given I have no care for GWS and refuse to waste 2 hours of my time to watch them play, I have never seen nor heard of this kid.

Can someone that will give a realistic appraisal of him please inform me why we should be doing our nuts over this bloke? I have them there to do, but I'm quite selective who I do them over these days.

He looks like an in and under type - am I right?
Viney, Jones, Adams and McKenzie (is that enough in and under players going forward?)

Is Mckenzie part of our future? he will at least be safe for another year.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
