Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I would usually agree with that OD but the effort has gone on too long and is too concerted.....and its coming from all those that are family or being paid by Hirdy.

This is the 1% jnr?

Hird Inc. want as much money as they can get.

They know that a change of career is inevitable imo

Absolutely, screams of desperation to me.

I am struggling with this.

I thing you are putting 2 and 2 together and ending up with 22.

My feeling about conspiracy theories is that 99% of the time they are just screw ups.

I understand what you're saying. But if we start to join the dots.

Go back to James Hirds (& not coincidentally Shane Woewodins) personal conditioning advisor Biochemist Shane Charter in their Brownlow years(Hird 1996) The very same guy at Geelongs Premiership & Melbourne Storm Premiership.

The same guy supplying Dank peptides +++

Remember "we are playing Carlton get me the good stuff".

Surprise meetings poolside.

There are so many dots you really don't need to join them.

Hird has been a cheat for a long time.

Whatever it takes.

If we think Occams razor, you would probably argue that it is simpler that it is a screw up, I think that too coincidental. The connections point to planned cheating.

You tend not to incompetently, stupidly screw up and win Brownlows and Premierships and just happen to meet poolside etc. etc.

It is illogical that screw ups keep happening with winning a consequence. It is simper to believe in cheating.

I may be mistaken ManDee but I was referring to idea that the Hirds are planning to get sacked so they can pocket the money now and not be left with nothing if the findings of the ASADA report go the wrong way.

I was not commenting on prior whole drug thing.

Does that make sense?

Sorry OD, I am a bit jumpy when taking about the Hirds, I see conspiracy everywhere.

But to your point, I believe that the Hirds are aiming for a payout. The Missus is a solicitor and I really don't think she would do the interview without a plan. And the most logical plan / outcome as a result of her interview is dismissal / payout. There really is no point in blaming AD for a tip off and bullying, how does that help their argument? It does not and can not help, it is a distraction.

Really only five scenarios

1 If the Hirds are right the EFC are still guilty but AD gets some grief. AD will not go down without an almighty fight and in fall out Hird gets sack/payout.

2 If the Hirds are wrong EFC are still guilty and Hird gets the sack/payout.

3 The EFC go limp and give in to Hird , the Hirds continue mouthing off until AFL EFC crack it..sack/payout.

4 The EFC go limp and give in to Hird--He shuts up, she shuts up story over ...pigs might fly.

5 She is a solicitor and speaks without thinking, he is a coward and doesn't tell her to recant. Sack/payout.

Cannot see any other outcome. Sack/payout.

You know it might be worth it to rid the AFL of them.

the fact that it's front and centre of the media attention would support that it's hijacked the season opening. The wonderful stories of Fletcher's durability, the outcomes of the winners and losers in round 1 have been drowned by a dramatic twist in this saga.

Caro also recognises the format of the first round being split ( and no blockbuster) have added to the dilemma. However since Feb 2012, this unprecedented issue has completely sidetracked the game.

And it's fanciful to think the motive is too avoid any ASADA fallout by being paid out early. While the Hirds may not be stupid people they have been poorly advised and are living in a bubble on their culpability.

Beyond dispute is what she said, you can argue your point and it's a good one but that hardly makes it beyond dispute.

As for their motive, who knows, neither you nor I. These were questions 'Rhino' not statements.

I would actually make a $20 donation to the POH's fund if it helps to be rid of them.

That is my reading of the situation too.

We are witnessing an organised, planned distraction. These people are not fools, they are dishonest narcissistic self righteous cheats. Make no mistake they are focused on getting the best outcome for the Hirds and they obviously don't care about anyone else. The EFC the players, AD the AFL, David Evans , Little can all go to hell so long as they get the big payout. This is true evil at work, and we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

true evil at work...

golly...wish Id though of that

This is my mail...

The board want to get rid of Hird but can't without costing $2m+ They will meet tomorrow and get JH to sign an agreement that he and his 'supporters' will quit commenting over the affair. If he or his supporters breach that they will bin him.

I would add that if the ASADA report nails JH they will also bin him as well but it won't cost them anything as that would be a clear breach of contract.

I heard that James hird would be attending the meeting via Skype from overseas so i'm very interested to see what happens, i reckon the sooner the Bombers bin him the better, they're damaging their brand the longer they have him in charge.

No doubt they wont sack him tomorrow

ASADA will do it for them and it wont cost them a cent

Hird aint getting another cent from the EFC or AFL

I think you are correct Jnr

There is a lot of time between now and March 2015

They will get numerous opportunities over the next 11 months.

Can anyone believe TH will be able to keep her mouth shut that long.

You know OD I don't think she should have to. She has a very real interest in this matter. She is expressing an opinion (albeit a vested one) but so what? This whole saga is a mess of vested interests and at the moment we are waiting for ASADA to put up or shut up. Dumbmetriou has covered himself with gory rather than glory. Both Caro and the idoit Robbo are looking for headlines. The Essendon board are headless. It is a total ballsup all round. Tania might as well have her Five Bobs worth.

This from the same article is the pointy bit, not Tania. How the hell is this possible if they kept detailed records and how is the investigation being run if they can't find these records Dank states he still has? It sounds farcical and again where the hell is Worksafe in all of this?

"In a paper published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, AFL chief medical officer Dr Peter Harcourt wrote that despite an enormous amount of evidence gathered, there was insufficient detail to prove the precise nature of and doses of substances that were given to each athlete."

i find it amazing that the afl chief medical officer would make such a statement on a confidential inquiry which has not completed

that is if he did make that statement

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
