Oh its apparently been all a big misunderstanding

However I just don't understand why the accepted a guilty verdict as clearly there are all so innocent.

Oh well Life was not meant to be easy.

Messendon just cannot stop themselves at every corner...FFS their prez, Mr Little keeps on and on with the dribble.

Little, Hird and the rest of those whining plicks should just shut the f....up and take their medicine. Hey Little big horn....most of the football world don't give a toss what you clowns think.

If you think they are bad now.

Wait until they get player suspensions.

Then the World of Messendon will be in free fall.

What do you think the Club would be saying to their members, supporters, players and us when this happens?

At this stage they are just upset that their GOD "Hird" has been publically disgraced.

Peptides may be Drugs to you and me but to Messendon they are just everyday Supplements.

2 weeks ago, gerard whitely, mark Thompson, mark robinson and golden boy all told us were in the clear weve paid our penalty

Good to see someone comment on Hird being extended by Essendonk just as he was suspended.

just a snippet from that article

" Julian Burnside QC, has been on radio saying Hird is heroic, that he took one for the team, and that he would have won in the Supreme Court. Yeah, so would Roman Polanski and Chris Skase. But they never went there either. Heroic? Good God. But tell that crap to Ian Robson or David Evans. Or to the players who might yet be indicted and have their careers and health ruined. Not backed into a corner. Heroic. OK, Julian has just penned the first chapter of the historical rewrite. It's apparently going to be a work in the Big Lie oeuvre. And don't bet it won't be a bestseller out Windy Hill way."

Antoher really good read on it and certainly an opinion in Cook and Koch that differes vastly from the Bombers stance. I also find it amazing that the AFL, the leaders in voicing concern of governance are then happy to wash their hands of the Bombers next steps in the coaching situation ie giving Hird another 2 years and allowing Bomber Thompson (if he coaches them next season) to coach after being sanctioned.

The Hird line -

Evidence omitted from ASADA report on Dons

We wuz robbed.

This gold from BF:

Turns out it Essendon never employed Stephen Dank from Gold Coast and Cronulla. It was Stephen Dankoludin so they're in the clear. Don't know why it took this long to come out to be honest.

With all these lies and half truths from Messendon they do not deserve a Banana Drink or Banana Cake. Let them eat Apples instead!

One of the more curious aspects to this was ( and I wish I could remember where I read it lol ) that in the 'battle' for Messendon ( aka AFL penalties negotiations ) it was Little's pushing that the Numb-ers finish officially 9th as he didn't want any team on his watch finishing last. This despite the ramifications of pushing even their first draft pick further out than need be.

Nose, face, slice !! lol

They must be thinking they can con other clubs at the trade table for picks !! They really are blinded by their egotistical arrogance aren't they !!

Could Luke Davis and Hal Hunter please step forward. We have some questions.

Actually I have one. Does ASADA's powers abrogate any confidentiality agreements? Lawyer's, please discuss and so forth...

The effect of finishing 9th is that they don't get first pick in rounds 3, 4 etc.

However they have actually improved their position in those rounds, going from say 12th pick to 9th pick, in each round from 3 onwards.

think again

If they were last they would be first cab off rank come the 3rd round...as 9th they are not

Who was the guy that was in charge of recruiting for the MFC, the one who always picked duds.

Make it that Messendon can only use him to make their selections for the next 10 years.

Then it would not matter if they had pick one, they would be screwed.

It was poor form from Essendon to announce James Hird would not only be staying on as coach once his suspension was served but he would also benefit from an extension to his contract. That being the case I wouldn't cry any tears for Hird and his Bombers if ASADA and its strict liability requirements ensure that when he returns he won't have much of a team to speak about.

To add to the farce, its apparently been announced that Hird will be doing special comments during the finals for Triple M. Another poor decision and I'll certainly be avoiding that radio station from now on.

But Hirdy is heroic and an innocent bystander to what went on at Windy Pill.

If he took the AFL to court he surely would have won.

I always do, the standard of people working on that stations coverage keeps me away from it.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
