Spoke to a mate.

Apparently Andrew Walker had a massive argument with Mick Malthouse and wants out.

Roos rates him very highly.

Suggested trade is pick 2 for Walker + Pick 13

Your mates make up some really crap rumours.

You'd be better off making up your own...

Spoke to a mate?

More like "waitin for a mate..."

I reckon that post that fairly obviously shooting the author of the message...

If he'd have called you a fool making up rumours, that'd be shooting the messenger.

If they've fallen out can Walker head straight into the PSD or is he contracted?

This rumour has no merit, he would be unrestricted like Sylvia if he wasn't contracted.

Walker is going nowhere...

It is funny how media jump on social media and report trade rumors from there. It has been a slow week, the AFL needs to get this back to two weeks, most of the free agents were done before this week. We have two more weeks of this, I think the carrot of pick 2 has us all excited that we will land that gun midfielder, the problem is there aren't any gun midfielders available. One week down, we should find out tomorrow what band we get for Col Sylvia, considering the same panel that put the recommendation to the AFL for our priority pick will also assign the free agent compensation I wouldn't hold my breath. It should be Band 3 but expect it to be band 4.

Would love Walker, get him to the Dees. But not for pick 2. No way.

For what it's worth in fib season, Carlton have shot the rumour down on twitter.

Posting stuff that's pretty rubbish is wasting all our time

This is where it all falls apart.

There isn't a "Trade and draft rubbish rumours" thread nor a "Trade and draft guaranteed-to-be-true rumours" thread, nor even a "Trade draft rumours-we-all-agree-with" thread. They're just rumours, pure and simple.

There's always the "next unread topic" button.

There's a delivery factor to this which upsets me. His last rumour - spoke to a mate. Apparently Andrew Walker.... Who was this mate? How does he know internal workings of the carlton or melbourne FC.

If you are just reporting other rumours just say so. "Have heard the Andrew Walker rumour" would actually interest me.

I'm happy for all rumours but can people just post whether it's reliable, semi reliable, from facebook or something you just made up. That way we get a sense of whats happening and it can be interesting!

What exactly is x factor. Does Dan Hannebery have it, or Sam Mitchell, or Jobe Watson.

X factor is a show

Look - like he said - it's a rumour and that's what this is all about - if you're taking all that stuff too seriously you need to re-think..

You posted "Savage chooses Carlton" yesterday and later confirmed you got it from Facebook - hypocrite - that's twice you've done that - called people "flogs" for posting Facebook rumours and done exactly the same yourself.

You're vying with hogans_heroes and demoneyes for Most Annoying this trade period.

Annoying? Proof will be in the pudding! At least I don't post rumours about a rumour and then give no names, clubs etc. I will stand by what I have said earlier. Oh and to add something else - here is a ludicrous one for you D Swan to Dees!

Yes, and we should be up to 200 pages by then but nothing of consequence from the MFC!

I posted a few days ago on the rumours about St. Kilda being in trouble and, despite the positive spin the Saints have put on their trading of Ben McEvoy, I can't accept that the trade spells anything else but that they're in a bit of strife.

So I'll add another rumour to the mill.

There's another big one to come from St. Kilda in the next few days.

Since McEvoy is going to the Hawks, I heard that Melbourne could be in the running to snag Billy Longer.

I may of just made this up due to wishful thinking. But I could not find a Billy Longer thread

We were mentioned on SEN earlier as a possible destination for him

I heard the tail end of that also. Was wondering others thoughts. I rate him pretty highly, and would be stoked if we could pick him up.

...and the protocol to get Longer ?

with 2 weeks or so to go on trade week ......

I predict that this thread will hit 356 pages by the end of the trade period !

either way I do enjoy reading the trades/rumours and thank everyone for them

If it's Stevens for Pick 2 I'll kiss you Jack.

If Longer wants out, then Bribane might take a trade for Jamar and swap 2nd rounders. Longer would be our first choice ruck, so our deal might appeal more than hawks where he would be in the same boat as at brisbane

Think it'll be Riewoldt for Collingwoods pick 11. No way they get rid of young good players

I don't know who was talking about it but the thinking behind it if it is true? We have Jamar (going nowhere but I beg to disagree), Gawn, Spenser, Fitzpatrick. Why do we need another ruckman?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
