Will he bring Ross Lyon? It was Lyon who was the brains behind the Swans' two grand finals in 2005 and 2006.

So Longmire took a back seat?

Damn, my ex boyfriend worked for sportsbet, would've been able to find out what was happening!!

Don't let that hold you back, give him a call the good folk of DL need to know!

Maybe he has asked if a couple of handshake agreements may be able to loosen up if he comes on board.

I'm waiting for the day Roos says just plain no. Until such day, he is as much of a chance as any other candidate.

Come out and say "it's not going to happen, I will not coach Melbourne next year" and I'll move on. Until such time, I am holding onto the dream like a fat kid holds onto his ice cream.

Roos has said that things would want to change (within him) for him to want to coach again. Who knows what this means? Could Roos be saying that he doesn't want to coach the MFC in their current structure? That's not saying his heart isn't in it, that's just demanding a level of professionalism that he expects if he were to consider applying.

I don't think that's a bad thing. An experienced, premiership coach wanting to see changes before he makes his mind up - would've thought that was perfectly fine for what we are wanting.

He will bang it on the head tonight, it's a pipe dream, he said 2weeks ago OTC he won't do it.

"It has been a massive go, we don't normally see this much action in a coaching market unless people have some inside information," Centrebet's Michael Felgate said.

What normal person would believe a single word that came out of Hirds mouth?

While I agree that we should not get Blight-ed, we cannot 'interview' Williams or Eade until September/October so don't fear the wait - the wait is going to be there. We won't miss out.

I am very confident that one of Roos, Williams, Eade, or Craig will be head coach next year.

Actually no he didn't say that at all, the fact that several months ago he said no, and now he is actually prepared to talk to PJ says otherwise in my eyes.

I would be amazed if he said ANYTHING definitive tonight.

Primus said something definitive, Roos recently has been anything but that.

Where is he going mjt?

I am not aware of any other positions on offer at the moment.

If my memory is correct the only jobs up are Us, Lions and Eagles

No one can talk to Williams till the end of August and with the tigers likely to be in finals then early September.

And after that who's says he is better than Eade or Craig?

Theres always positions on offer, it's AFL, look at St Kilda and Fremantle, anything can happen.

My feeling is that ths whole paul roos betting plunge is a load of crip. Punters can only bet 20 on it so the bookies couldn't care less about losing money on it. just a publicity stunt by the bookies and it has worked as everyone is talking about it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
