Pity there's not a younger brother rule.

Luke Ottens, Damien Gasper, Cockatoo-Collins boys?

From afl website

"Zak Jones, the younger brother of Melbourne midfielder Nathan, impressed for Vic Country. Jones mopped up across half-back and was hard to beat in the air, too.

He finished with 21 disposals, which included five rebound-50s, each with a good level of composure. "

If he's average pace, skinny, has freckles and looks scared we'll take him. But seriously good luck to Zak

Would Dylan Grimes even get a game in our back line? I haven't seen him play much but I think the our back six is better than Richmond.

Our back six is a lot better than Richmonds, I still think he'd easily get a game in our backline as a rebounding defender.

And some sleeves.

Actually looks a solid lad

Nath was pretty massive in his debut year, I remember Triple M nicknaming him Little Chief after Dunstall...

Just concentrate on the balance of Grimes boys, they get better the younger they are.

Except that Jack is twice as good as Dylan.

If he is as hard and durable as his bro then he will be sought after.

why is he playing for VIc Country if his TAC club is Dandenong

Because there are only 4 "country clubs" so a couple of the outer metro clubs are designated country

Vic Country: Taylor, Holman, Tsitas, Willsmore, Jones, Leslie.

Tasmania: Templeton, Grey, Jones, K.Kolodjashnij, Nankervis, McGuiness

Zak Jones, the younger brother of Melbourne midfielder Nathan also showed his ability, displaying the same brute that his brother is famous for. Jones is a solid size at 181cms and 74kgs, hes a strong marker and is reliable with the ball in hand. Against Tasmania, he showed courage to leave his player and spoil another contest, and was comfortable enough taking defensive marks, backing his judgement. Jones finished the game against Tasmania with five rebound 50′s and 21 disposals and was a play maker off half back for the majority of the day.

Get him in the side and the commentators really will have trouble keeping up with the Jones'.

The Jones's we already have are good so why not add another.

Being brothers the Jones boys could bring their game to another level by being inspired by each other and playing in the same team.

It's not as if we don't need another mid!

But maybe a bigger question would be does lil brother Jones WANT to play for us.

He used to play for mount eliza, like his brother, they wear demons colours, seen him play some junior footy, pretty good but must have gone up a notch since

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
