1. Great attack on the ball by Watts

2. Garland is a champ

3. McDonald, Terlich, Kent are looking good. Loved Kent's chase

4. The disposal efficiency of Dawes is much better than I remember it being

5. The "experienced players" are just BAD, in particular Pederson. Can we please stop playing them? Neeld is no longer here. No need to save face anymore by playing them. Give the young players a run over these guys so we can at least find out who to keep.

Nice wrap, I'd like to make mention of Terlich as well

He shirked when going back with the flight of the ball and didn't go hard at all on Ray at the start of the game.

I would have called that being out of position but maybe I just wanna be optimistic. I just think it's premature to be calling him soft at this moment in time.

Actually it should probably be 11 points the difference if you take away that stupid 50m penalty against Dawes, and the free to Riewoldt 10 metres out!!!

Or of course if our forwards had kicked straight.

A few good signs here. We seem to waver between positive attacking, even spreading footy and [censored] ourselves/spectating. Something to do with confidence and uncertainty

A top Coach is going to rip this list apart.

Half of them don't work. Nothing to do with skill or experience.

Craig has been top dog for ONE WEEK - give him a bit of time

Why is it that every other recruit can put his body on the line from the start but Melbourne players are always so timid?

I'm sick of making excuses.

Clisby, Terlich, Kent, Tom McDonald??????????

I reckon a lot of the rot is gone, but it will now take time to develop the right culture with what is remaining.

i agree, but there is still some,,, but the legacy is still with us atmo...the legacy of the last 10 - 15 years. will take a bit to plough up & reseed.

There was no malice, he just has zero awareness.

I'm fed up with your canning of Spencer. He's been killing them at Casey for weeks, he gets a chance to play in the firsts and you don't let up. Give him a go!

Lynden Dunn gee he is a liability he always gives silly free kicks away and has poor disposal and decision making skills move him on at seasons end

I'd call that a major negative given that a few years ago we had one of the best back lines in the competition.

Dissagree. It's the one aspect that's held together during the perfect storm. Never went away. Just needs a few injections of pace and decent ball use (we already have one in Terlich). Need one more though. Could be Blease for pace but defensively not so good and ball use is pretty ordinary atm.

Can we trade Watts for a half eaten Mars Bar? Please?

Another great post. What a keen footy observer you must be.

Watts dropped a mark he should have taken then a bad effort to get a free.

Needs to make up for them. If he propped he would have copped a free more than likely.

Posted

Watts is having a good game, at least he is presenting, he is our only forward.

Pretending you mean. He's got something wrong in his head. A tonne of talent and no brains or guts.

All I keep hearing is umpires are killing us and Pedersen is turning it over every single disposal1 WTF!!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
