WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

To all on here, STOP HYPERVENTALATING!

Roos made it very clear that he would not interrupt the celebrations of the 2013 season by formalising his appointment before the B&F. No doubt WC will put in a phone call but as WC expect he will politely immediately reject their invitation. The reason for this is that he has already decided to coach Melbourne. Roos is not motivated by money or a better list, he wants to coach Melbourne because he sees us as the ultimate challenge, he believes he can resurrect us and do this quickly. If he succeeds he will become the absolute legend of the modern era.

An announcement will be made before Wednesday but probably before this. I am told the club is aiming for tomorrow, but this will depend on whether Roos is ready and all fine details on the contract concluded. Roos has been actively recruiting his team, I understand it includes Ling and a couple of other beauties. Roos may want to wait for his family to be back before the big announcement as he has suggested, in which case Tuesday, but he will be coaching us.

Now take a couple of deep breaths, smoke a fat one if you have to, and enjoy a good nights sleep.

Are you getting this from a "source" within the club?

I don't want to be accused of accusing another untouchable foundation "hero" of telling porkies.

Hahahahaha WOW!

Come back after a few hours and boom! Another 10 pages from nowhere.

Some absolutely STAGGERING cases of MFCSS on this thread!

It's a fait accompli.

Relax guys.

I fully expect the announcement to be put off until Tuesday though, for maximum exposure.

Relax, WE'VE GOT THIS.

havent heard of any press conference being scheduled

Not yet, i was thinking before, it would be hilarious if Roos just started working as coach and noone was told outside the club, see how long it took the reporters and all their fantastic inside sorces to work out what was going on haha.

but in all seriousness, i have a feeling one of 2 things will happen today

1. he will state he is not interested in the WCE job.

and or

2. there will be a press confrence ( if this doesn't happen today it'll happen between now and tuesday. )

I'm on the horns of a dilemma.

A ban of some sort would seem warranted but I'm still the coach of the demonland/demonology footy team, we have a big game coming up against bomberblitz and dazzledavey36 is my best midfielder.

What would Paul Roos do?

:)

Compulsory name change - for 3 months he can be Milne or something like that, annoying little faeces

As hard as this is we have absolutely NO control over the decision or timing of the announcement.

If PR is meant to be the coach then it will happen and based on previous events albeit limited PJ seems to be a very professional operator.

It doesn't matter how much we shite ourselves about it and worry about Brisbane then WC trying to get PR if he's meant to coach us it will happen.

I know for a fact that if it was me I would want my family there for the big announcement too.

Put it this way if PR did for what ever reason change his mind then it would show he was not truly committed to the Dees.

Don't get me wrong I want PR and if he is meant to be our coach then it will happen.

Any one seen Paul roos on a plane anywhere at 5am this morning?

Haha... Funny you should say that. A random on twitter is saying roos was on a flight from Sydney to Melbourne this morning

Edit: apparently not a random. The twitter page of an ABC grandstand program. @MTJAGgrandstand

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
