This year may wind up being worse than last year somehow. What a hole this club is in at the moment.
Let's hope Dawes can come in and provide a consistent target. We'll need him performing well since we barely get it down there as it is!

Just reported that Mitch is ot for 6 to 8 weeks to have surgery on his foot.

I am hoping this means Watts gets a chance to cement a spot up forward.

Also it should give a chance to include some midfield grunt in Magner if the club decides that Clark will certainly play no football over the next 8 weeks.

Ok, well, of all the 2 month lay offs, I guess having a screw removed because the old injury is going well is a good one...

Watts, Dawes, Howe as key targets it looks like. Gee it gets no better

I wouldn't be surprised if Fitzpatrick gets a call up as well... so it would be Watts, Dawes, Howe, Fitzpatrick, Gawn and Byrnes... not too bad. At least it is to remove the possible cause of his current problems and to free him up for good (screw removal).

And on the subject, it now looks like Rivers will be gone for quite a few weeks as his knee is worse than previously thought... have to feel for Geelong (a luxury I can now afford as hey are no threat to our position on the ladder), having lost both Rivers and Menzel to longer term knee injuries.

yep its all positive

sometimes these vacancies make a position for somebody to take

While he's out we can work on mids' delivery to the forward line, so we can reward his perseverance upon his return with the ball delivered on a silver platter after every clearance...

Good luck Mitch, hang in there.

The MFC website hinted at this after last weekends match. Dissapointed but not surprised. Magner is surely a must to come off the rookie list now ?! But nothing wld surprise me at the MFC. Probably leave him there for the rest of the year. I just hope they bring Gillies, Sellar and Joel back in real soon. I'm salivating at the prospect of having all 3 plus Pedo in the same team!

If Fitzy is EVER going to get an opportunity it's now.

Kicking goals hasnt been our problem, its getting it out of the centre and inside fifty.

Enter one James Magner.

Saw the big fella on Saturday morning at a local Prahran coffee shop, he was wearing a moon boot. I said to my wife, that this doesn't look good. I was hoping that it was precautionary....I was obviously wrong.

I feel sorry for him after being out for 12wks last year, he must be [censored].

We're one of the best teams this year for efficiency inside 50m, but one of the worst for getting it there.
